I still read them too. Quickly sifting through them looking for keywords mostly. One WT cost me about 10 minutes. Every time it confirms how I feel about them. Sometimes i rush to my parents and discuss a point with them. It works, but slowly.

i never dressed like one of them unless i was at the hall.
i think that people looking at me would never have guessed that i was a witness.
Um let's see:
At meetings: bow-tie, leather italian shoes, good quality black suit (not Armani or anything, but reasonable expensive, NO polyester). I looked a bit like James Bond.
In normal life: jeans (blue/black) or combat-trousers(kaki/black), black t-shirt, lumberjack-jacket (the real Canadian ones, imported uh Life-Line(tm)) and army boots.
Average JW? Nope.

looking back it seems hysterical that during the watchtower and bookstudy one had to be careful not to answer the b part until after the conductor asked the question.

I always thought it was funny how serious some brothers faces were when they carried the mic's. It's as if they were carrying someone's soul in their hand.....I used to carry one around and I actually enjoyed it: you could walk around and not participate! I used to play with it too: passing it behind my back, swirl it around, 'dip' it in the crowd, operate it with one hand and jawning, making weird faces before someone has to answer, flirting with hottie sisters (wink, wink nudge, nudge) etc etc.
Also, wasn't it really annoying when the really old elders would whistle when they spoke? Eeeeps, the sounds of a magnified whistle at the theocratic ministry school!!! *cringes*Yeah indeed! But what annoyed me the most were persons that grabbed the mike. I adjust the distance between the mike and the person for soundquality and spitprotection, when someone grabs it you lose control resulting in the mentioned whistling and spitvolleys. Greven

Terry Pratchett. If you want a good book to start I would recommend Small Gods, it's IMO the best he ever wrote. He has a very wild and entertaining way to look at things.
