  Invitation to memorial

  has anyone ever received a stupid-looking invitation from their local kindom hell?

  i received one yesterday!

  i left several years ago.

  We usually get the invite once in awhile, normally it's in the mail box.

  i lived next to a home with a book study

  That must of been quite an uneasy feeling, even just having to be neighbors after everything.

  i have two brothers and two sisters; one brother is a jehovah's witness circuit overseer, and the other one was just sentenced to death for murder.

  my mother died from insanity when i was very young.

  i have a story for you.

  it relates to being an ex-jw but you don't get that till the end unlessin of course you are a smart cookie and can figure it out before then.

  Hidden Art In Watchtower..

  this may have been dealt with before on another thread.

  we all know of the 'hidden art' that seem to pour out of the wtb&ts pictures.

  i thought (incorrectly it seems) that the art dept in brooklyn put s a stop to it.. i don't get watchtowers anymore, but my in-laws sent me the feb 15 2008 issue (study edition) in an attempt to convince mrs smith and i that the 'generation' is a coherent reasoning.... yes, i shake my head in disbelief as well.

  --- you find the milk in the cupboard next to the cereal, (just where you left it).

  ---you try to take a sneak peak @ jwd topics from work, and your computer screen says access denied because the page contains the words "asian babes".

  JW divorce rate higher than adverage - pew forum

  one statistic that i haven't seen talked about that was contained in the pew forum research poll was divorce rate.

  i was kind of shocked to see that when it comes to the percentage of members who are divorce jw's pulled an extra 2% over the national average.

  in this research poll only three groups come in higher than jws and two of them go under the categories of other christians & other faiths.

  We had 3 couples who 2 divorced, 1 couple who seperated. They all kept going to the same hall. Two of the couples married the others mate's and they all then hung out together.

  It was pretty sick. They could not get along enough to be married to their original mates but now can hang out as best buddies in a 4 some.

  The Sick And Aged: Watchtower Approves of "Corban"

  why does the watchtower society approve of 'corban' in relation to sick or aged relatives or spiritual brothers and sisters?.

  example: the april 15 watchtower article "isolated but not forgotten" talks about the need to visit "our dear" brothers and sisters in .

  nursing homes.

  Perhaps it is fear and they face their own mortality and that's why many do not go. In any case it is sad !

  ..Armageddon Day..

  as most of you know..armageddon will soon be here..and..the "new system" will be in place.....there will be plenty of dead people to clean up..but..you`ll be able to pet lions and talk to blueberrys!...........everyone has been waiting for armageddon..won`t that day be a day of celebration?!

  !........just an idea...we could use the dead,as part of the celebration!..you can put one in your living room,put lights and tinsel on it and presents under it for the whole family!

  i love a good coincidence.

  it is the closest i get to the supernatural these days.

  how about this one.. a couple of days ago i was working from my home office and while doing so was listening to a bbc radio 7 re-run of the 1960's radio comedy, "i am sorry i will read that again", with john cleese etc.

  Well how about this one we are about 1600 miles from Disneyland. We live in Canada, as we were standing in line to enter the gates ( there are numerous lines and long) hubby looked

  over to his right there was 4 people he went to school with from his little rural area school of 200 students. What is the chance of that?

  Edited to add: We have a coincidence within a coincidence post. Another posted a Disneyland meeting also. I never saw it because I was typing at the same time!
