  Great lists some of you have. I have the little purple shuffle...I change it out regularly it holds a 150 songs and its great for my work...

  sure makes the time go fast.

  Currently I have some new music a few posters have sent me to try out...Love new stuff keeps me updated in the world.

  we really need angled toothbrushes?

  we are not intelligent enough to use a straight toothbrush and get it to reach all the teeth?....and i like one blade razors!....the safety ones!...they still rock as retro and do not clog.....so then there were two....fine......then three.......now five!!!!

  "Commenting" at Meetings

  i don't quite understand why you call it commenting.. when i attended meeting the question at end were read.. when people "commented" it was never a real comment.. it was just reading back word for word a sentence or two from the paragraph that answered the question.. i would think "commentary" would be something you put in your own words and give a personal statement about it.. .

  why do you call it "comments" when it is more like reciting?.

  or is it different in other kh?.

  They do not want you to answer in your own words because it often tends to put your own thoughts and slant on the answer...

  And then older ones well they have to read it word for word...things change so much they can not keep up with the new thoughts

  i was married for 20 years to a brown nosing, power hungry elder.

  his headship was so overbearing i was basically a prisoner.

  he would not let me associate with my dear parents (father an elder, mother a pioneer) because they were too liberal as witnesses (they did things like save seats at the assemblies when we were told not to).

  And how all those years being cut off made you feel? Might be worth a try if you can...

  So, it happened. Packed my things and left

  some may remember, i wrote on an other thread that elders forbade me to give comments at the wt meeting, as i weaken the brothers' faith.

  i wasn't satisfied with this outcome and, 10 days ago i sat with my wife on the front part of the kh (like in many khs, attendants pack on the back seats), in the middle of the row, right in front of the wt elder, and raised my hand insistently.

  i was of course openly ignored but i didn't care, all that i wanted was verybody to see how they deal with independent members.

  We take it cool because we have always kept nosy elders and JWs at arm length

  I think you did quite well and sure got the point accross...Sometimes the arms length idea works really well.
