Do You Consider yourself an Atheist / Agnostic / or Christian? Reasons ?
by flipper inafter having been raised in the jehovah's witnesses for 44 years ( getting out 6 years ago ) i have now come to peace with my view of what i personally feel about the existence of god , or no god, or whatever is flying around up there in outer space.
i am basically agnostic for sure / perhaps leaning atheist and i've come to that decision based on the years and years of unfulfilled false promises of being in a mind control cult ( jehovah's witnesses ) claiming to represent an alleged " god " or " jehovah " saying there would be a paradise, and armageddon to destroy 99% of the earths population.
also- i enjoy helping others without thought of being rewarded for it.

I don't worry to much about death anymore, we all die....I would say I have come to hate what religion does to people. I still believe there
is some kind of higher power, but I am more in tune with nature and the beauty in things around me. I do like some thoughts of Eastern
religions, meditation, living a peaceful life and showing kindness to all. Over all I would say that I have become Agnostic...

From all that I've read and heard on the news, both parents bear a huge responsibility for MJ's traumatic childhood and resulting troubled adult
life. Joe Jackson is a ruthless brute, and Katherine was so co-dependent that she enabled him to abuse their kids. It seems that the WB&TS has
some guilt in this as well, because Katherine acted just as any "good" jw wife would act, allowing a child abuser to lead the family.
I agree with that Jamie, people will do anything for money, using his son's fame and he has just died is so wrong.....

Martial Arts - what is the present stance of the WTS
by insearchoftruth ini have read before that the wts is against the martial arts....i do not have a wts cd, so was wondering if there is any wts literature to support this?.

I've seen quite a few jw's go over board in just normal things of life. Martial arts does train you in self discipline which lacks in a lot of jw's.
Besides self defense is always a good thing to learn. I've always liked some of the Eastern philosophies of calmness, meditation etc it does
promote peace within.
