Candle lit for Jim Penton
by Velvetann inhi everyone, i know lots of us aren't religious but i really like the idea of lighting candle for people to focus our thoughts on them when they are in distress or having difficult times.. if you are so inclined take a look at the candle site and please light a virtual candle for jim penton who will be having bypass surgery soon.

Cup of Tea One day my mother was out and my dad was in charge of me. I was maybe two years old and had just recovered from an accident. Someone had given me a little 'tea set' as a get-well gift, and it was one of my favorite toys. Daddy was in the living room engrossed in the evening news when I brought Daddy a little cup of 'tea', which was just water. After several cups of tea and lots of praise for such yummy tea, my Mom came home. My Dad made her wait in the living room to watch me bring him a cup of tea, because it was 'just the cutest thing!' My Mom waited, and sure enough, here I come down the hall with a cup of tea for Daddy and she watches him drink it up. Then she says, "Did it ever occur to you that the only place that baby can reach to get water is the toilet?" Hope4Others

What was the "point of no return" for you?

it reminds me of winter
by chickpea ini was out chipping ice this bright march morning, thinking that i am sick of winter and its deathgrip..... spring cannot come soon enough ( not just the official start date, but the upcoming mud season and beyond).... i havent seen grass since november!
or leaves on a tree!
the only unfrozen water outside is in the tiny birdbath i keep heated for the birds that overwinter!

It makes one appreciate that each day is a blessing to be alive. It is sad to see anyone die so young. It is sad his son has the same inherited genes for this disease, his daughter is ok.

First witness visit
by dogon ini had a couple of dubbers visit since my move to hot springs.
one was an older man who was very nice and did not want to talk, he just wanted to ask how much for property in my area and how much it cost to build my house.
the other was a ydrtc young gungho who thinks he knows a lot more then he does.

You know the type they like the hear themselves talk and do not hear anything but the pitch of their own voice
. Strange IMHO I feel this also carries over to their everyday life. They are so en-grained to get everything they can out before the door closes, that they also do this
just in day to day conversation. They are intent on their own thoughts and reasoning that they can not hear what you are saying. Its a mental block you learn to shut people
out so as not to be hurt at the doors.
It's a pity there isn't a way to cut and paste wisdom!
