hi all i'm new to this so be patient with me please.. i'm not a jw and never will be but my partner is although she was disfelllowshiped some years ago for adultry with someone other than me which jed to a divorce from her husband (who is still a jw), this happpened about 8 years ago, she then went into a relationship which turned violent and abusive, this ended a couple of years ago.. i met her just over 12 months ago and fell head over heals in love with her and i have proposed to her and we are due to be married in july this year, we have a good relationship except for one thing, the bedroom activities.
she tells me that it makes her feel dirty and cheap and refuses to put her arms around me unless i am covered up with clothes or the quilt, any type of skin contact is a no no, we do occassionaly make love but she hates it.. the thing i want to clear up is this, she is devout about the religion and the wt although she doesn't attend any meetings.
i am led to believe that if a disfellowshiped jw shows repent they are allowed back into the kingdom hall, i know that she would like to be allowed back into the religion, do you think that she is trying to show repent by not making any skin contact with me whilst we are out of wedlock?.
I think you need to look a little deeper, there are definite issues she is carrying maybe from childhood perhaps molestation. This is not a normal reaction with someone you
care about. These feelings need to be addressed before you reach the point of no return.

haven't been around lately, but life is great.
rarely think about the witnesses these days and my mental health is getting better and better.
was listening to triple m (a radio station here) and the dj was doing a talk back segment about how annoying it is to have witnesses etc.
He is quite vocal isn't he? Wow he's even called someone an idiot, He has valid points I'm just surprised the station is letting him say as much as he is. Is this satellite radio?
I do agree that there are other means to learn of religion these days instead of door pounding. Perhaps the Wt needs to look to other more inventive ideas.

shocker at the group last week..... i was at the group last week (1st in about 4 weeks) and the conductor (the p.o.
) takes a sister aside and tells her that she was not allowed to breastfeed her baby before or after the book study because "someone" found it awkward.. hmm, i wonder if it was him that found it awkward.. anyway the twist in the story is that the group meets at her house.
the sisters husband was far from happy but is to reserved to do anything about it.
Since he has now embarrassed her that it is a problem she no doubt feels a quandary, so its either (A) let the study go which will make it difficult to go to another study and still find a
way to nurse. Or (B) just go to another room which in another case will give her time to realize how petty people are and the issues they make, nothing having to do with
the bible just plain old personal views.

some folks have been checking on me, some have been worried that i am upset with them because all of the sudden i am off the planet except for a hi here and there..if that.
so i thought i should let my friends here know that i am ok, and say thanks for caring...it helps a lot.. a while back i posted about some things that had been happening in my life, some hopeful, as well as some difficulties.
everything has become more complicated and hurried, and there is a huge game of chess being played in so many areas of my life i need to step back and focus, really focus to make sure i do what i need to do and still be someone i can face in the mirror.
Time heals all, taking this time will help you collect your thoughts and know where you want your life to go. Leaving a religion like this one brings much confusion
in our minds and heart. It does take time, and by reflecting on what your hearts desires are and finding that inner peace are the most important things you can do for yourself.

i've been with someone for over ten years.
sounds like a long time to be engaged, but we were perfectly happy with the arrangement, knowing that some of the circumstances in each of our lives needed to be worked out before we could marry.
one day she told me that she wanted to investigate the jws.
I'm sorry that you are having your heart ripped out of you. Now that you have mentioned you live out of state from her I can see that this will pose your problem.
I have never seen long distance relationships work as yet. It is easier to move on when your apart, she has others around to encourage her to "fight the fine fight" as it may
on a daily basis in your absence. I wish you the best but I would not hold my breath. Hopefully she will come to her senses and let love prevail.

talked with my witness mom, 80 years old this morning - and apparently she is pretty stoked up about the bs my ex- bethel brother ( a cloned elder of 35 years ) said to her about all the changes at bethel going on.
obviously he still has inside ties at bethel.
to avoid being redundant ( as i know most of you have heard some of this stuff ), my mom explained to me that my brother told her , " they are selling off most of the buildings in brooklyn as in the next 3 years they plan to move the entire operation to patterson and upstate new york.
Actually I feel sorry for my mom that whatever the society says she accepts as the " gospel truth
My mom is the same way. I do have to disagree with some of you, sorry but for me I feel at my moms age what would be the point of ripping her faith away from her. Where is she to go
at her age. Its all she's ever known. All her friends are jw's and she won't be around for ever. Unless I can be there 24/7 for her she would be alone and lost. I just couldn't do that to her,
I do say little things the odd times but I'm careful the way I say it. Its fine for me and my husband we can start over but I'm not so sure that an older person like her can. She's starting
to get forgetful so a lot of things go way over her head.

three simple but very powerful words .
my son and i working together last night on my jobs talked about this very subject.
i told him that although my witness mom was always affectionate , and tells me and my siblings she loves us , my elder father has only told me that he loves me once or twice , if that - my entire life.
My father was very reserved. I always wanted to be like other kids to hug & give their parents a kiss before bed. It would take me
20 minutes to get up the nerve to approach my dad, it was scarey for me. My mom on the other hand was a little reserved also but now that I'm grown shes awsome. She has
often said she wishes she would have tried harder to show how much she loved us kids. I don't hold anything against my parents they tried as they new how, my dad passed
many years ago.
