  How does TTATT affect your marriage??

  just wondering of those of you that have left or are fading and have married ones still in, how is it going, is there hope or is the marriage doomed?

  wondering what are the percentages.

  i'm fading fast but wife is zealous as ever and we don't talk spiritual things at all anymore.

  destroyed mine although we never started too well, should never have got married in the first place, and 2 years into the marriage I started finding out TTATT, I quickly faded and making my feelings known to her and got the usual psychotic responses of fingers in the ears, screaming from the top over voice, violence, and after surviving a JC we seperated after 5 years, strangley she wanted me back and we would meet with me going over to her place and spending the night for a few months, I eventually met someone and gave her the "scriptual divorce" card, she since has remarried. In some ways I kind of felt sorry for her in the time when I had completly left anything to do with the cong, she strived to have a young elder husband that she could be proud of sadly I was never to be me, and I wished her no harm , I was gald to see the back of her but never showed any hatred towards her, I noticed how desperatly lonley she was in the cong week after week of study/FS/Meeting attendance etc.

  Who Taught You The Truth(tm) OR Who Counted Time, On You?

  my mom's lover would bring his handsome youngest son, to our house, and along with my dad, would study with my brother, sister and i. wed 7 pm.. next an elder's wife, who was a regular pioneer and worked part-time, who had a daughter my age, came to our house, after school wed. ruth was the head of the house and wore the pants.

  her husband was part of the 3 men who sat on all judicial committees in our congo and would tell ruth everything, which in turn ruth would tell the sister's.

  ruth was very pious but at the age of 15 gave birth to her only child, and beat on her daughter all the time, never letting her forget what "trouble" her only daughter caused her.

  although I was born in I had a "walkabout" phase and it wasn't until I was about 20 that I started to show more interest in the so called "troof" a very good family friend and an elder in our cong got the job to study with me and set me up for baptism , the irony though was that this elder was the chairman on my JC about 5 years later!

  Thinking of becoming a JW.

  hi,.

  i am new to here so please be bear with me.. i have always believed in god, but was never baptised, my parents wanted me to make up my own mind religon wise.. i am thinking of becoming a jw and am just needing some advice on how to do this, bible study and jw beliefs.

  also do jw say grace and how.. i am greatful of any help.. thanks.

  when i try to click page 2 of active topics.... i get only posts that are all over 13 years old!!.

  the question is.. how are we meant to follow posts, even our own, if there is no easy way to find them?.

  Shocking story what you've told so far, sadly JW's make the very worst parents and your mom sounds like one of the very worst, your situation wasn't helped by your mom moving you into JW foster families, they really are the dregs of human society the utter dregs, been there with my sado masochistic father.

  the years after exiting I found their hypocrasy breathtaking and the years that I used to read of their condemnation of the "churches of christendom" their own scandals make them many times worse then the ones they condemn! my list is

  1) the occult origins of pyrmaidology in Russells works

  2) Rutherfrauds cosy relationship with the Nazi's , his alcholism, his export from Canada of booze during the prohibition, Beth Sarim and his gerneral tyranicle style of rule.

  3) The homosexual scandals of GB members and the rumours that Knorr was a homosexual

  4) The Malawi/Mexico Scandal

  5) organ transplants banned then allowed, Blood tranfusions being allowed until the 50's

  6) The UN membership

  7) Holding investment stock in companies that sell and produce miliatary hardware

  8) The huge tip of the ice berg with their child abuse policy

  9) the myth that Freddie Franz was a fluent Hebrew speaker and that he was fluent in many other languages

  i remember when i was a "devout" jws i could not wait to get the new watchtowers and awakes from the wednesday nite theocratic ministry school.

  i would actually salivate thinking of the new information jehovah had in the magazines for us.

  i was "franatical" and i would go home still in my three piece suit and devour the magazines that very nite.

  I believe Blondies unpaid time hold great value for lurkers and newbies coming on here and dipping their toes in the world of Apostacy, I would'nt read a damn word of a WT if you tied me down and held my eyelids open, but her research is very important and should be valued.
