Emeth " JW's are taught the same and act the same everywhere on the planet" is somhow meant to show some sort of divine blessing? the opposite is true ,Mormons have a unique global look , teach the same globally, can boast about the Book of Morman being pronted in 200 odd languages etc, The Worldwide Church of Christ can make similar claims , as can The Moonies , didnt they carry out some sort of mass simultaneous marriage some years ago accros different parts of the Earth? it simply points to the main characteristics of how high control dangerous groups manage their members, when JW's raise this point with me I run through excactly that this is not unique to them as other groups make these claims, they soon go quiet.

the circuit assembly

not really looking forward to it as it is the first one i will go to after finding out many things on this forum.
since the last assembly i have read coc, in search of christian freedom, and some of the gentile times reconsidered.

Is it all about the money?
by Laika inoften on this forum there are posts about how the gb are obsessed with money and some people here often suggest this impacts every decision the gb makes i.e.
on my holiday thread it was suggested jws aren't allowed to celebrate holidays as it means spending money on presents that they want for themselves.. i however, do not think this is at all true.
the society rarely talks about money and as a percentage of income i think the vast majority of jws contribute a very small amount simply because the society rarely talk about it.. obviously money is important to the society in the sense that they couldn't run a major organisation without it, so they have to ask for it at times and factor it in to some of their decision making, but actually the gb live quite frugally and seem to worry much more about clinging to their authority and power than getting rich.. my controversial suggestion of the day is that saying the gb are obsessed with money must make us look silly to lurkers.. what does the jwn intellegentsia think then?.

the WT/GB are obsessed by money if they were not they would remove the Contribution Box's to less strategic places , how often did we used to get "dig deeper" talks from ass'emblies and the KH ? at least a few times every year.

I love the honesty displayed by JW's and their leaders because every time I speak to them on the street and mention their UN membership so far 100% have no idea that the WTS was a member of this from 1992-2001, FL Panther in another thread suggested only going to JWOrg as its the only reliable source run by JW's yet that source mentions no membership of it either !

i do say my prayers daily and do believe god helps me in countless ways.
but i don't go to any church.. i have always been impressed at how smart, polite and nice jehovah's witnesses are and i always make time to speak to them when they call at my door.

Hi Lilly, dont be impressed by the so called "serenity and certainty" under the cheap suit and false smile is a paranoid/nuerotic problem laden person who could possibly be an abuser or or bully and has had years of mastering the tricks of someone who is a victim from an abusive high control cult, they are definalty not all they seem.
