not too sure, there must only be a handful left of the old timers from when I was there, I think we had 70 plus pubs , guess it cant be much over 50, one big surprise was the disbanding of a cong in our circuit though.

bit of advice when in London, if you plan on using the bus and tube buy an "Oyster" card (£5.00) , paper cash tickets are double in price ,and also use the tube after 0930 "off peak" far cheaper, a zone 1-2 top up where you can use unlimited bus and tube is only about £8.00/day,you can "top up" credit on the machines at Tube stations using card or cash, Black taxis are expensive but if there is a few of you to split the fare then they are more viable, also avoid at all costs The Angus Steak House chain there are loads of them in Central London and they are over priced tourist trap rubbish, there are thousands of great places to eat check out The Time Out Guide, Chinatown is worth a visit or for a curry head over to Brick Lane, take a look at the usual attractions The Tower of London, St Pauls, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, The London Eye,Buckingham Palace, The National Gallery, The Tate Gallery and The Tate Modern, also day trips to Bath and Stonehenge are well worth doing. Pubs in London are worth visiting for a few beers etc, the food isnt generally great. Hope you have a wonderful trip I've not even been to Rome!

my old man left it lying around in his study I'd regularly read it, meant far less when I was in though. I guess he used it when a friend in our cong was DF'ed , he told me my old man was sobbing like a baby at the JC!

dont these 3 nations have some of the lowest JW populations in Europe and possibly percentage wise world wide? 46% of Bosnias population is Muslim and 36% Croatian Orthadox, would the WTS be particularly bothered even about their own brethren? doubt it.

I always remember the "Randy" drama at Twickenham sometime during the late 80's , the hip/trendy and beautiful people would all sit on the first and second tier of the West Stand and when the "randy" scream bellowed out from the loud speaker system in that high pitched New York accent the first screams of laughter came form that stand, I was working field security at the time yards from that stand!

The CO visit this week he says" In August..."
by James Jackson inup until 5 years ago, the co used to work up their own parts for specfic congregations in their circuits.
everything is up to script, in other words, every co in the country are givings the same talks in the local congregations they visit.
what got me to cringe is when he said at the meeting, trying to encourage everyone to pioneer this august; he said :" you know this october it will be 100 years since gods kingdom began ruling, remember what happen when joshua told the israelites to march around jericho on the seventh day, and what happened when they let out a great war cry?

The WT Isn't Going Away (sorry got long)
by LostGeneration ini've seen more threads and comments in the last week about the "demise of the wt" than in some time.
several were on threads about the donation arrangement and how its going to backfire in some way on the wt.
oh and the lone elder who was pissed in some sort of passive-aggresive manner about it when he presented the resolution.

its far from an "act of genius" cult leaders abuse, do what they like and the sheep let them, but as Kneehigh says apathy is their biggest danger, they still hemorrhage members and when we start fading the "contributions" are the first thing that get booted, the world is still recovering from the GFC of 2008, some of the figures I see mentioned on here of the amount congregations contirbute is very surprising in regards to the low level they donate many from the USA and Europe.
