GB Members: What's the Story?
by Cold Steel inover the past few decades i've met many individual jws, but i've always been curious about the gb members themselves and about service at bethel.
first, do gb members fraternize with regular rank and file members or do they only sell out each other?
when i was a methodist, it didn't take me long to figure out that our minister and his wife were frequently invited to dinner, but i never heard of him actually inviting members to his house for dinner.

Witnesses killed my friend today.
by WasOnceBlind intoday has been a horrible day.
what began as a day of joy finding out that one of my lifelong friends had her baby, turned into a nightmare when her brother called me to let me know she had passed away after birth.
i was in shock and didn't ask how.

Most Poorly Written JW Book
by JW_Rogue inso i was thinking the other day that the wt corp has produced thousands of books over the years.
although the writers have changed the style is almost always the same.
however, some books are just worse than others.

Marvin, I was a kid when the Babylon book was studied so didn't pay too much attention to it, was it a dark red cover? -

not read any of the recent tat nor do I ever care to, The Revelation Book must hold the most awards for a) stupidity, b) poor writing,c) utter cringe worthy bullshit, The Live Forever Book cant be far behind though. I do actually remember one particular mind numbing book study ( I was completely active) that the Revelation Book was so ridiculous it was almost comical, they had made the entire thing up with the trumpet blasts etc. -

LostandFound; I always wondered what Gooch was like as a person, I had a feeling he was a hard nosed leader like Knorr, I often remember him giving talks at Twickenham, he was a powerful speaker with a booming voice, we also had a Nigerian bro in our cong, nice guy but was DF'ed never knew what for. -

"Crises of Conscience"
by Olivia Wilde ini just finished reading chapters 11-12 of raymond franz, crises of conscience & i must admit, i am pretty strong person, however the way ed dunlap & ray franz were treated left me crying, i had tears rolling done my eyes driving home from work on friday... & how ed was kicked out by wt, left me feel soo disgusted & outraged.... it was very obvious he needed to stay at bethel because of his age & medical conditions but i admired he didn't compromise his conscious, it's sickening to me how cold & callous these men can treat a christian after all his service.... & of course ray franz situation was no exception either, the witch hunt they did to get him out was, well, there's just isnt enough adjectives to describe their disgusting motives against him... he was 59 yrs old trying to make a honest living with his wife & for them to go after him was devious & demon like.... i'm soo grateful i came across this book & i wished i had much much sooner.... i know god will reward both ed dunlap & franz plus many many more who have been unjustly & unchristian like treated during that time & this time, sooo sickening.....i still feel very much upset & emotional over the whole thing .... i never met any of them & then yet i feel deep christian love for them......

a real eye opener and book that once opened cant be put down Ray and Eds treatment and the others during the which hunt was appalling, the sections on Malawi and Mexico clinched it for me. -

Conclusion
by Esmeralda001 ini decided to put an end to my affiliation with the jws for good.
this decision is not the result of an irrational impulse.
it is quite the contrary.

well done, a decision you wont regret one single bit, removing toxic, judgemental almost close to psychotic people from your life can only be for the best. -

WT Study 1/10/16 Encouraging Child Baptism And More Nonsense
by JW_Rogue ini've noticed that each wt lesson really only has one or two points they want remembered.
normally they build up to these by about the third subheading.
this week's lesson though was different, the main point was insidiously made through an experience in the first paragraph:.

complete desperation isnt it? they have an obsession with boasting growth and need to keep showing there is some sort of growth, scrapping the barrel though. -

No more reporting time for field service!!!
by Khaleesi inso at last i am in my next step of my fade, this month is the first month i did not turned in any hours.
i received a text from our group leader an ms & i told him i didn't have any to report, then of course it got bumped up to the elder & i text him back i have no hours to report for december.
i came to this decision when reading many posters here about the yearbook stats, i do not want & refused to contribute to this organization "boosting" numbers for their glorious purposes, after the rc in australia they do not deserve for me to give them a "production" report of what i do for god, no more.

nice milestone that , my fade went like this;
complete cessation of FS,
drop out of the bookstudy
gradually start to miss all Sunday and midweek meetings
CA missed
DA missed
then the big one ; the memorial!
its like a jigsaw falling into place. The real nail in the coffin for me was one particular meeting I randomly attended and I for some reason I went to look at the noticeboard,my name was excluded from the book study group list, but Sister Jookbeard was still there, I kind of felt sorry for her. No more Bro Jookbeard! Your response was great, carry on with your fade! its the best thing you would have ever done!
