  the name Roger Kay who is quoted in the OP has sprung up today purely by chance by someone I made contact with today as being a predatory abuser of teenage boys in his congregations he served in after leaving Bethel 20 odd years ago, the congs are Bethnal Green and Hackney in London UK, he has since moved to the Bristol area where he serves in good standing in a cong in the area, its believed he works for a travel agency, maybe Barbara Anderson might be interested ? the usual problem is the victims are too scared to speak out and a couple have left, staggering. My contact tells me he served in the treasury dept at London Bethel for over 20 years , he is said to be about 60 now

  What were Satan and his demons "doing" up in heaven, before being "cast down" in 1914?

  i was just thinking about how the wts has been spouting off for years that satan and his demons were cast down to the vicinity of the earth in 1914, but really, when you think about it, what was the difference before 1914 or after 1914?.

  its not like satan and his demons did not have access to the earth.

  satan and his demons always were messing with earth.

  the longer I've been out of this craziness the harder it is to wrap my head around this story, there are too many hows and whys?

  how and why did angels transform themselves in literal human type bodies and copulate with the women on the earth they found attractive? this is meant to be a literal event yet goes beyond the boundaries and imagination of the most ludicrous scfi book or movie

  why are humans caught up in the crossfire over this bet between the creator and the devil? haven't humans had it hard enough for the last 5000 years? isnt it time to give us break at long last, is God pissing himself laughing in his voyeuristic sick perverted realm all these years?

  Why couldn't Satan and his buddies be dispatched to some far flung part of the universe to play their dick waving game with the Creator and leave mankind to get on with their own lives, why keep bothering mankind in these dick waving games, we're not interested any more and our interest faded very quickly after the flood.

  Believers,Theists keep on waving the carrot that the end is close and the sovereignty issue is soon to be resolved! well how much longer !

  This event loses more ad more credibility as each year passes , I wonder how much longer it can be believed?

  OC, I always thought the blood ban came into full force in the early 1950's so what was Knorrs' motivation to think this dreadful doctrine up? did he just pluck it out of thin air? was it borrowed from another belief system?did he think about the repercussions for the R&F ? did he pay any attention to the destruction, death and damage it would do? they have a Jonestown tragedy many times over! did he just make it up because he could?.

  Hayden Covington was of the great crowd and the Judge must have known Knorr and Franz could never have considered him for presidency, plus he was playing a very important role as the WT legal counsel , a role they would have wanted him to remain in.

  The Watchtower Corporation's (JWS) extenuating lies .....Why and for what purpose ?

  upon researching the historical activity of the wts.

  it becomes clear that the head editorial writers of this religious publishing house propagated many formative lies or unproven speculations framed within its own bible theological interpretations.. .

  going right back to its earliest inception the head writers of the wts proclaimed that christ has returned and that mankind was going occur a dramatic change through this returning establishment of christ, as prophetically told though bible scripture.. the first year devised by the wts of this return was 1874 and through means of using an obscure measurement of the great pyramid of giza 1914 was to be the year of armageddon.. the 6000 years of mankind's existence was used at that time as well ( early 1900's) to support this supposed code cracking, which was used once again in the late 1960's to create 1975 as another year of significance.

  a 137 year old fraud, and still going, the good thing to see is the growth and slow down and the masses that are leaving it, a poisonous, repulsive, murderous,dirty,seedy,dishonest group that that are far far worse than the so called churches of Christendom that they have so vehemently condemned over the years, religion a snare and a racket? Yes it all is!

  The purpose? money simply, I never paid much attention at the time due to the propaganda lies and dishonesty we were fed over the years but there was money in it, when we charged for the mags and books on the D2D work, they were quids in because they were paid for it twice! and when the contribution arrangement was discontinued the R&F still paid , it wasn't until all those years later and reading Ray Franz' works that we realised how cheaply those mags and books were to produce with the amount of free (slave) labour , many people have an interest financially in the WTS, look at the many sub cooperation's that are part of it, I always wondered about that.

  this is a quick experience i have recently had and i have two questions at the end.. a couple of weeks ago, the dogs were barking at the gate on saturday morning and wouldn't you know it, it was some witnesses.

  there was a father with his lovely wife and their young daughter.

  the father did all the talking as mother and daughter just dutifully smiled and watched.

  Fencing its a strange strategy they have now because the winning over of potential recruits in regards to being armed with The Reasoning book and over coming objections etc,at one time must have been relatively successful , how many times have to heard it said " I joined because I couldn't win the arguments with them" Its still clear that very few householders read the mags, they are boring, poorly made, its hard enough getting the R&F to read them, if I was shown a video presentation I think I would be just as disinterested , maybe they are paying attention to stats like what this site and many others quote about the over 7000 hours it takes to convert 1 single recruit, the stats dont lie!

  perhaps slightly more , the general questions they pose still wouldn't pose too much of an intellectual dilemma to a 10 year old though, just looking at them and using some basic logic in our objections quickly shows the flaws in these pointless and lazy presentations they continue to bother people with.

  one can have great fun with them when they pose this mind numbingly stupid question about how bad world conditions are in the 21st century , I've not been called on in over 20 years but in the rare chance I speak with them I ask them what particular age they would like to live in? the dark ages, the Victorian age, the bronze age etc? I to speak about advances in medicine, even in the Victorian age infant and mother mortality rates were incredibly high, I speak about the world population ( a pet subject of mine) at the end of most confrontations they have to admit that mankind has never had conditions so favourable to live in like now, but they end up going on that only God can bring his kingdom blah blah blah and bang on about that, more stupidity though. I ask them what world condtions will be like in 100/500/1000 years time, the advent of super powered computers that we will have access to, to advances in medicine and and stem cell research, the ageing process will be drastically changed and altered , designer embryos are very close, human cloning etc, its generally lost on them by this stage though

  same as LisaRose, I'm astounded that this fool still gets the amount of stage time given the amount of times he must have made an ass of himself , the guy is a absolute cretin. The have taken him off their video broadcasts so its clear that he has been noticed how ridiculous he is, that crazy thing it appears he is allowed to make his own outlines for his own talks, I would have walked out after a few minutes.

  Do you think JWN members would be surprised if they got to know you in real life?

  i don't think you'd recognise me much at all.

  i'm a royal mail postman, i love my job for the early starts and midday finish, the outdoors and the exercise.. i get on with people but i'm quite insular and don't enjoy crowds.

  i'm happiest when i've fired up the charcoal and i'm making souvlaki or adana kebabs for my family and a few close friends.

  2 of us have said they dont enjoy crowds, the same here, I wonder if it has any relation being dragged to those dreadful DC's as kids, thats why I dont go to the football much at all
