Had to say something to a couple of cart women in Bentonville square.
by blownaway inmy wife and i were walking up to the original walmart store in bentonville.
its now a museum.
two women were sitting in the park next to a cart.

try being a bit more subtle and friendly next time? there are 2 ladies that work the cart in my local town I saw them this week, and every time I see them I take a rag and exchange a few pleasantries, they are genuinely nice kind people we talk about the weather ask them how they are keeping etc, its no use getting into a doctrinal debate with them because they simply are not equipped to debate in that way, I just hope my few minutes with them brightens up the mind numbing boredom they are having to deal with.

Thinking about the end of the Watchtower

the wtbs is not required to disclose its finances, and doesn’t.
we can speculate, but that is all we are doing.

in my mind it really has finished, they never call any more,they have virtually no influence on my life at all these days albeit my sister still remaining loyal but we haven't spoken in years, both parents passed away,not one single prophecy they predicted has materialised, KH's in my circuit and neighbouring circuits are being flogged off, congregations liquidated, the big splendour of district assemblies held in huge sports arenas every summer would be publicised in the media but now they dont even get mentioned, the growth in the UK is not even at a snails pace, the only reminder I see these days is their "apathy cart" in my home town completely ignored by the general public, yep they've finished, the internet has played a huge part in this!

by stan livedeath inive chosen " scandals and coverups" subject area--because it is a scandal.. back when i was a dub--in the 60's--in birmingham uk---only a few congregations had their own hall.
most rented school halls and other buildings available to the public.
to have their own hall--dedicated to jehovah--was a lifetime dream for many.. to be able to have a hall built--obviously required land..and to get land--and planning permission to build a hall---was expensive--and difficult.

yes, in my old circuit they done this to the Putney and Kingston KH, both Surrey stockbroker belt towns where land and property are eyewateringly expensive I think they purchased the KH in the late 1970's but had it upgraded sometime in the late 1980's with a "quick build" in the last few years the KH was sold and the congs were liquidated or merged with Richmond cong who are having their KH sold!, thats the main example I know of in my old circuit, congregations having use of a KH solely on its own are in a dead man walking scenario, my old congregation shares with a Tamil cong and another cong so it looks safeish for the time being.

New "Annointed" Brother In My Old Hall...
by pale.emperor ini've only just stopped laughing.. in my old hall there's a brother who's now claiming to be of the anointed.. he's 28.. i do wonder if he's doing this for attention, if he's awake and messing with them, or if he really is that deluded.
when i was in he was an ms. which surprised even me because only a year earlier than that he was "a bit of a lad", is rubbish at talks and relies on his elder uncle to get him out of trouble all the time.. i guess this now means he's get his pick of jw sisters.
he's been after the same one as the rest of his peers since 2014..

my fade started in early 1993, I even missed the memorial that year, I did not set foot in the KH for the entire year only for the memorial of 1994, no more meeting attendance, than I was separated and divorced from my wife by 1995, a brief visit to the DA of 1996 ( I stayed less than 1 hour) and that was it.
