i was commenting on another thread about how local kh attendance is down.

memorial attendance was also way down and the circuit assembly had hundreds less people than what is typical.

my jw family has even mentioned it.

Funny occurrences

what were some funny experiences you had of things that happened during talks at the meetings?.

a few of mine:.

- a brother had dyed his hair before his talk and it was raining heavily when he arrived at the hall and the dye was running down his face during his talk and his skin went more and more grey as the black dye ran down it.

back in the early 1990's there was a service meeting item when an elder interviewed a kid who attended a local school he was about 11 at the time , the brother was telling the audience about the breakdown in discipline in schools the drugs problems etc so he goes " so Christoper tell me about the drugs problems in your school that you have have to deal with"

Christopher responds " yes drugs are a problem in our school a lot of the pupils have taken to smoking herbs!"

the hall just erupted.

my parents started attending the glendora congregation in 1961. my mother had a strange feeling about the congregation.

there was something going on there that just didn’t feel right.

there was a huge exodus going on of people leaving this congregation’s kingdom hall too.

absolute madness from them but not surprised, carry on haemorrhaging members then.

Adding insult to injury when the WT kicks out a congregation from their hall

not only does the organization confiscate the hall the congregation owns.

but then the former congregants are told to continue to pay for utilities and they are still responsible for upkeep and maintenance.

so they still have to cut the grass etc.

many may feel that they are harmless movies and are just entertainment.

well, the 8-year-old daughter actually brought a blue smurf doll to the public talk and watchtower study.

as a "deep pimo" i can say that there is a confirmed re-branding.

the coordinators committee formed a focus group from service and teaching committees.

the results of that group roughly three+ years ago, with gb approval, trickled down to the other committees and eventually into what we have been seeing before our eyes in the org and local congs.. pick an organizational level and see the shift.
