dont they just love the prospect of it, the dangling of the carrot in front of the nose of a ravenous donkey, shame they have all died and will eventually die sad and disappointed. -

It amazes me...
by punkofnice in..to think about how the congregations actually function....even down to the individual level.. the biggest bully on the boe (or his wife), controls the show.. ones within the congregation are treated like they're dirt and still they return.
stockholm syndrome?.
i've heard ones say that 'jehovah(tm) will sort it all out.

agree there Punky along with CO's have we all here ever met a group of arrogant, self serving, haughty, jumped up, judgmental pair then the PO and CO? they dont function though do they, they are mere springboards for their lives and views, how many are being disbanded and merged ? they are not even surviving, they are dying long slow deaths. -

Is the Watchtower organisation facing the biggest crisis of its history?
by slimboyfat inrecent developments make me think they might be.
the problems they are facing are not just lack of funds but also draining authority, and the two could be a heady and explosive mix.
one of the best analyses ever written of the watchtower was a book called "trumpet of prophecy" by sociologist james beckford in the 1970s.

Have we become what we despise so much?
by Tenacious inthe majority of members who tend to join this forum have been hurt possibly even traumatized sometimes to the point of wanting to end their lives.
upon joining the forum, new members are welcomed with open arms, welcome messages start pouring in, "likes" are freely given, a false sense of security is promoted where a member is free to speak his mind without having to worry about the wt gestapo.
again, similar to how potential converts are welcomed and "love bombed" upon entering a kh for the first time.

"the Bible stands up to close scrutiny" LOL
what like the global flood?
the feeding of the 5000?
a man walking on water?
a resurrection of Lazarus?
Jonah being swallowed by a giant fish?
the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah?
the original sin?
the creative days?
ah yes all stand up perfectly to any sort of scrutiny

speak for yourself, I like to think I've become the very opposite of what we allegedly despise and your blatant generalization is both judgemental and ill founded, I bet you don not know one single person on this forum personally, perhaps do some more searching. I've never felt hatred or feel I despise the religion of my birth, I feel far more empathy to the victims of the cult, bear in mind I've been yelled at, told I'm possessed, had my mental health questioned, shunned and suffered a marriage break up,excluded from attending my own mothers funeral, yet I still speak to them politely and courteously, quite and achievement I'd say.

Another heavy load :Literature Cart Witnessing
by RULES & REGULATIONS injehovah's witnesses standing on a street corner publicly promoting the propaganda of the governing body!another ridiculous form of "forced loyalty" to jehovah.
"dirty work" that the wtbts make witnesses go through.preaching work '' lite''.putting more heavy loads on members while the ''faithful and discreet slave'' preach from warm studios without the humiliation.
what an embarrassment!.

Reasons for NOT Returning
by Saved_JW ini left the watchtower in the winter of 2008. my first year out was by far the most difficult.
i had every intention of returning to the watchtower for the very purpose of being able to speak with my friends and family.
i had already concluded that the teachings were not the "truth" [after reading crisis of conscience] so coming back was more emotional then anything.

How many of you actually KNOW the bible OR God???
by Mark Zyche insince jws are sooooooo terrible and full of lies.
what the heck do you think about fat santa, and and days later the celebration of janus?.
since you seem to be so good at looking at the "lies of the watchtower" what do you people think of your lives now, religiously speaking?

Mark; its not a game with rules here, I have nothing to hide, been out many years and seen still further false prophecies from the WTS, over lapping generation, the change of 1935, blood fractions, and there will be still more to come, dont you see a pattern?
