the black guy made a complete ass of himself by speaking about not everything written should be taken as figurative! fool. He was playing with them and exposed their basic knowledge as being poor and flawed, quite pathetic really, I like the part when he expressed that he wished that they would be much more "scholarly" not much chance of that happening, towards the end it was a " who can flick to the scripture the quickest race" in which the jw's were very easily losing.

Do You Remember The First Time You Looked At "Apostate" Material?

as a kid, i used to go to the local library and secretly read books by so called apostates.
later, i would sneak into christian book stores and quickly buy a book or two.

its a milestone moment and no going back for many and me also, my local library stocked Alan Rogersons book also like Phizzy's but it was the only book they had at all on the WTS but I would pop backwards and forwards and sit there to read a few pages at a time, with the help of Reachout Trust they connected me to a local exjw who had a ton of exjw stuff at his house he let me take whatever I wanted, we ended up becoming very good friends , I often wondered what happened to him, also I was working all over the UK at the time and would likewise search out Christian book stores which held far more stuff on cults and sects, they were amazing days in the early 1990's in a journey through life. -

Met the new CO (correction officer) this week
by truth doubter injust want to share my take on the new circuit overseers visit.
first impression, he's a control freak.
he got up several times to correct the servants on lights, sound and speaker stand positioning.

thank god I dont have to suffer these jumped up,neurotic self absorbed ego maniacs anymore and towards the end of my jw life I became more more angry with their petty pointless ways, imagine how the elders felt! The last two CO's were the final straw. -

Quality of JW teaching from elders

I've said it many times thats its one of the greatest myths that being an elder or speaking from a platform regularly makes one an excellent speaker when the reality is in all the years I was a jw I can think of a couple of CO's and DO's and a mere handful of local elders who could be classed as good public speakers, the vast majority are hopeless, boring and and have no natural flair to be good public speakers at all. -

Good news to report: Congregations merged because lack of attendance, publishers & field service
by Khaleesi inso it's official, i am happy to report that we merged with another congregation having the same problem.
why is it good news???
because people are either waking up, fading or just not buying into this organization any longer or walking away.... i think many young ones are just not buying into it as much, i see many in the congregation i go to very depressed and some i know personally going thru major depression especially the young "sisters" in their early 20s.... .

yep removed in 2000 form the UK Charity list! this was the cong whose hall I was married in, and an elder in my ex wifes cong gave our wedding talk in , who also sat on my JC, but was later to die in a freak accident in his workplace! -

I was surprised today as I walked past the KH in my town while I had a couple of hours to kill, I very rarely head over to this side of town and noticed the cong that had its name on the sign outside it had a new name attached to it, a name I've never heard of before being a cong at all, so it leads me to realise that this is the cong that my ex wife attended, merged in a new name to be part of the cong on my town, they shared a hall with a neighbouring cong for over 20 years I'm wondering if that has gone also, perhaps a look at Google maps will confirm this. -

forgetting the ridiculous example this idiot badly showed but its not particularity new is it? apostasy against the organization has always been seen as the very worst thing a human can do, I've been told I've "sinned against the holy spirit" by my own wife and family members, I wear it as a badge of honour though, so for me there is no going back, my relationship with jeehoovah has broken down and is irretrievable and do I give a fuck? -
