  wouldn't disagree with any of the theories, but God(jehovah) the Devil (satan) are just as real as the tooth fairy, Sasquatch,Leprechauns and any other mythical beings/creatures

  Do They Still do Door-to-Door as Much as Before?

  since the advent of the trolleys do the majority of jws still go door to door like we used to?.

  do they still have meetings for field service on sat mornings and sun afternoons where most head off to the local territory while one or two go to do trolley work or has the importance of door to door work reduced?.

  with the reduction of printing wts and awakes what will they offer at the doors?.

  P.E, a very good friend of mine when he was a pioneer used to head out at some ridiculously early time to witness to 24 hour filling station workers either by giving them a leaflet or a rag, seeing that 99.9% of London filling station workers are from the Indian subcontinent it can be guaranteed that not only do these guys have no idea who the hell these mad guys talking to them at three in the morning are even more certain that the placements will be slung in the trash,he was counting his time from say three in the morning and closing the same day after a meeting where he would have given talks etc or spoke with his studies in the KH etc thats about 19 hours for the day, he always used to get his time in easily.

  lived in this area for almost 6 years, never been called on, had one solitary leaflet through the door in all that time and that was for a memorial invite in Portuguese! I've seen them down my road twice in all that time and it looked like they were just doing RV's and I'm very much on the lookout if there is a presence of them in the neighbourhood, I do actually hear at times that they are in the area as we have a large council estate in this town, perhaps thats where they get more of a response,the cart is still present in the town centre most days of the week though

  The Watchtower's Real Crisis

  when discussing the watchtowers financial problems, i've generally been of the opinion that they probably are not in a real financial crisis.

  i've come to believe that money may be something of an issue, but its wrapped up in a much larger problem.

  this came to me this morning when reading about the annual meeting.. i think the society's leadership is just plain out of ideas.

  great appraisal Jeff, not just lack of ideas but the time has run, the doomsday cult millenniumists have nothing left to tempt the gullible into biting onto the carrot, their time has done.

  Door-to-door Going Forward

  i found that the sale (placement) of books and magazines was always a challenge, but it was still attainable.

  when the magazines switched from semi-monthly to monthly, magazine calls were automatically cut in half.

  return visits that were made "just to say hi" were hugely awkward.. i never participated in the "please watch a video on my tablet" work, but i would imagine that the fail rate compared to magazine placement is massive.. reducing magazine frequency yet again would make me worked up inside.

  the prospect of shoving an iPad in someones face and demanding they watch a vid is probably one of the most stupid things they've ever devised and there are many of them, they are just desperate, they lack any logic or common sense with anything they do, their methods of recruitment or starting conversations with the general public will only alienate the public more and damage the tiny bit of credibility they may think they have.

  as you know the question regarding the “kool aid” is related to the tragic events at guyana and jim jones.

  blind obedience and faith in this man resulted in a massive loss of lives.. sometimes we see the same pattern of blind obedience to the watchtower from the witnesses.

  this could be on major items or small details.

  I think Ray touched on it in CoC, it would be a subject one could never get accurate stats on because no active jw in a million years would stand up and admit to ever receiving a blood transfusion and medical services would never release that kind of data either

  Morpheus; quite a lot do take blood secretly, I have a feeling many wouldn't drink the KoolAid and it could see the literal end of them if they ordered it.
