So my PIMO Younger Brother Tried To Kill Himself Today
by pale.emperor inwe all know that this cult will drive those trying to leave to desperate measures, and today by brother was very nearly one of those statistics.
he slashed his thigh with a kitchen knife and was bleeding out until he called the police.. i got a call on my way home from work from a police officer, coincidentally it was one of my old friends from school who's now a cop.
he told me my brother is in hospital after an attempted suicide and has lost some blood but will be ok. but i should get to the hospital as he's asking for me.

"during the 2017 service year, more than 284,000 “rightly disposed” individuals symbolized their dedication to jehovah by water baptism.".

it just goes to show that the creative reports they publish must be treated with scepticism, the reality is the number really getting is a fraction of that.

Less magaiznes per year
by punkofnice inonly 6 very thin magazines per year and then recycling the propaganda within.. how are your local congregations spinning this?.
i heard a local congo-abongo-i is launching a campaign™ to place as amny magazines as possible in the month (this or next...not sure..sources sketchy).
which i find a bit strange.

Dreawyeather, so the R&F are using these vids to replace the rags? I've never been shown a vid, well I've not been called on in over 20 years, not that I would look at any of their vids, this vid presentation surely is a nonsense, how many people have the time to stand there and watch a vid via a iPad being shoved in their faces? we all knew how little the rags were ever read.

where the growth comes from in Africa and still parts of South America makes no real difference in the grand scheme of things, billions on this planet have never heard of them and their message nor are ever likely to, even the growth on the areas I mentioned will come to a stop sooner or later, how many are leaving? that is the more important issue.

Stop harassing jws
by pomo6780 inwe want people to learn ttatt.
we have numerous resources online to draw jws in so that they will wake up.
however, i've noted some radical methods that have been used by fellow exjws, and quite frankly, this must stop.

I never miss a chance to speak with them at a cart, never, only last week I had an in depth discussion with two ladies at a cart situated outside a local railway station, I focused on the recent BBC news item on more child abuse cover ups, they naturally responded with their stock excuses, I was able to tie their argumentation up in knots, who knows how it left them.

Why the move to Warwick?
by optimisticskeptic ini've seen a lot of posts around and about warwick and the goings on there but was curious as to people's theories on why the move to warwick?
granted there's the obvious point about all of the money from the sale of properties in brooklyn but for as massive as warwick is, the purchase of an apartment complex there, multiple sites and buildings i would be surprised if they had much left from all of the profits.
so beyond a financial incentive why move?

DoC its not quite as easy as that shifting cash one one corporation to another? a corporation as controversial as the WTS are being watched through a fine toothed comb after their child abuse cases are reported on an almost day to day basis, the punishments from the courts and governments are even more extreme if they are found to be doing this.

where is the printing and bookbindery done in the USA ? is it Walkill? if printing eventually is phased out worldwide and the very small amount they need is sourced out then Patterson,Walkill and Warwick and WT Farms will be even more surplus to requirments and even more staff will be culled, the next step must be the future of Selters as Europe is all but finished as a growth area for them.

I cant believe there would be a DC in Indonesia with over 40k in attendance in Jakarta, a Muslim country although somewhat moderate, is this correct, the publisher rate is just over 26k yet this convention drew in almost double the publisher rate, something doesn't add up.

Do you (or did you) have much of a social life as a Jehovahs Witness.
by UnshackleTheChains ini ask this question out of interest, because as a jehovahs witness for some 26 years, i have always felt that there is an 'all work, no play' culture within the organisation.
the organisation doesn't promote social gatherings.
i could count on one hand each year how many get togethers we have had.

very active almost too hectic when I was younger in my 20's, house parties at least once or twice a month, meet ups in pubs weekly, ice skating most Sunday nights, it got to the stage when I had to put a block on it, some of the drinking in those parties was getting out of hand though, although even back then a purge had started to curtail these social events, the ice skating rink closed down, the phase of barn dances was banned as well due to one very minor incident with alcohol, when I got married it changed slightly as my ex used to like to have dinner parties with other jw couples, I couldn't stand them and would think of all number of excuses for her to try and cancel them, in the end I just said go ahead and invite who you like around I'll go out, when I faded I made very friends with a neighbour (RIP) and we would go out together a couple of times a week, when I separated and moved away my social life really did change, it became almost non existent , I did have a few girlfriends but life was really quite lonely, I dont mind my own company, I've travelled all over the world on my own, and my standpoint now is quite similar, I dont go out much, separated living on my own again.

BluesBrother, I never knew or met Kendall, I'd faded a couple of years before, needless to say my ex never made any more daft suggestions.
