whatever happened to Crumpet ? I always remember her as one of the very first posters I interacted with when I joined here, I wonder if the issues with her family have improved?

Making contact with family
by Crumpet insome of you may know that my parents and whole family do not have any contact with me, apart from my dad who has provided his mobile number for "family business/emergencies".
i never try to contact them anymore after a negative experience after being beaten up trying to break up a streetfight last november when i called my dad and he hung up as soon as he realised it was me crying on the other end.. .
anyway - i decided that just because they want to forget about me i don't have to be the same anymore and i wanted them to know how happy i was.

Life in Paradise
by Sour Grapes inso we all survive the great tribulation and now as the dead bodies of 99.9% of the world's population begin to stink up the place, the bodies become bloated and the flesh begins to fall off of the bones what happens when the elders tell us to grab a shovel and haul the corpses to a mass grave site for burial or perhaps a mass cremation and you tell them that you will not bury dead bodies.. what will the elders do?
(i guess they are princes now since we are on the other side of the gt) will they haul the person into the back room of the candlelit kingdumb haul for a judicial meeting?
if the person is unrepentant and doesn't follow direction from god will they be disfellowshipped or forced to move to a colony for troublemakers?

have they thought about the environmental implications of billions upon billions of corpses rotting away all over the entire planet, what about countries like India and China where there are very very few jw's, what about the food and water systems that will be clearly polluted? I love watching the yearly population figures rise!

you used to have the make sure of all things hold fast to what is fine book what is the modern equivalent of this book i need a book which lists the bible topics and where to actually find them in the bible can somebody give me a pointer?.

according to the bible teach book on page 78, it says, “since the days of the apostles, god has been selecting faithful christians in order to complete the number 144,000”.

its a ridiculous doctrine, doesn't make any sense whatsoever , to think I was requested to attend a judicial committee on the charge of apostasy because this very doctrine which I vocally disagreed with was on a list of charges that they concluded made me an apostate, another one was that I disagreed with was the "generation of 1914" not having any biblical basis and we are not living in the last days! LOL, this was in the early 1990's.

Scary Effectiveness of Assembly Videos
by Captain Schmideo2 inwell, i got to see the final day of this years regional convention.and i saw something that disturbs me.. the final, "summing up review" video.
it disturbs me because it was so well done.
(i wish i could remember the title of the song), to the strains of a solo vocalist singing in a fine "irish tenor", we see the actors from the previous videos of the last few days all assembling together in a clearing.

similar in style to the year of the Bunker video, they must be spending a tidy sum on these videos these days, its clearly not having the desired effect though, they still haemorrhage members, sell off Branch facilities and KH's and report dreadful growth in most lands, I see a return of a couple of characters there, Sister Nasty Hatefilled Homophobe and Sister Token Chinese With a Nosejob! -

of course, he approached me and it didn't take more than a minute into the conversation for him to get into the jdub gloom and doom mode.
he said that world conditions have never been as bad as they are now.. i looked straight into his eyes and said, "i think that world conditions were a lot worse during world war two.".

I'm just wish those days would return where we stuck kids up chimneys, rape was legal, death occurred with the most basic infection, we executed common thieves, sanitation was unheard of , human slavery was legal,but things were so much better!

as time passes that stupid "bunker" video seems more and more detached and insane, the ideas behind it clearly have far too vivid an imagination, I reckon the R&F think its pretty dumb as well, is it two years down the line? is the world on the verge of developing into a cesspit on the precipice of destruction? of course it isnt.

Morpheus, KH's are being sold off everywhere in the western world especially in the UK and in most/all of Europe, they are not being replaced, new congs are not forming, there is zero growth in the UK, they do not call D2D in this neighbourhood anymore,I simply do not see it, they have a token presence a few days a week with their silly cart in my town centre that no body cares about nor is interested in, and I'm a very good judge to monitor this, so it just goes to show that their worldwide publisher figures should just be taken as like everything they boast about as pure fantasy, we all did it as publishers padding out our FS reports, branch facilities sold, KH's sold , CA halls slowly being sold,all printing downsized,Gilead almost nonexistent, DO's finished, vast CA/DC's nonexistent,everything they boasted of in the 1960's to the end of the 1990's has declined, only a fool would deny that.

who has been out the longest?

i'll start--i resigned in 1971, but attended occasionally as a non-interested husband to keep the wife sweet, untill my last circuit assembly in autumn 1980. no connection with the cult since then.
so--its either 47 or 38 years, depending on how you see it.. which begs the question--why am i on this site now ?.

appeared in front of a JC at the end of 1992 on a charge of apostasy, escaped with a reproof but began my fade, I was done within a couple of years, over 25 years, I love that milestone!
