Being that this is a JW form, I might expect you know not whereof :) However I remember reading somewhere' of the WT going into some detail thereof.

Around here... you can get a hummer for about $20 (so I've heard). Even less at a truck stop. Not that I have ever partaken. I imagine a "stretch" hummer might cost a couple bucks more :)

WHAT if we're wrong?
by shell69 ini mean, i know i'm bitter.. normally these days quite strong, not feeling so much so much the last few days though.. what i'd give to do the things i was used to.
going doing the weekly shop with my mum, her popping round for a brew in the morning.. a hug from her, just to to know from the way she communicated with me, that she loved me.
i miss her so much.. and what if i'm wrong?.

Shell... I don't know how to respond other than this... I've found myself thinking and feeling the same way as you many times (I believe I am an undiagnosed depression suffering person (It runs in the family)). Over time, I've come accept that no matter what I may think... My wife and child are much better off with me here... rather than my being “gone” by whatever means. My not being here would be a hardship for them. Their reality (probably reality itself) is somewhat different than the “filter” of depression through which reality reaches me. I've also learned that the future is in large part... What you, or I make of it. Sure, there are many things outside of our control. But, we do have much more power to effect our future and the future of others in a positive way than we view ourselves as having. In many ways... We become that which we think. Knowing this, I work to keep my thoughts on the positive side (easier said than done). I have good days and bad. Tomorrow will be another... A new day. One I can make better for myself, and those around me.

What if all religion is wrong??? What if many religions are “right”??? What if each contains puzzle pieces of the big picture... and by understanding enough about one or more paths, one might someday see the “big picture”... If “The truth” were, for example “42”... How do we arrive at 42??? Is is 41+1 or 50-8??? There are an infinite number of ways to arrive at 42...

A quote from the site.... " * Do you think we are a parody? Perhaps you've heard that we are a joke, satire or parody, and you came to our site for a few cheap laughs or "lulz", only to find people taking everything seriously. So now you have decided to be the first to "spill the beans" and let everyone in on your "knowledge". Friend, this has been done so many times that it isn't funny any more. When an Atheist loses a debate to a fundamentalist Christian, it is a common tactic to accuse the Christian of being a parody. The Atheist is so full of pride, that he cannot imagine being outsmarted by a dumb God-Believer, so he thinks the Christian must be an Atheist like himself who is only pretending to be Christian. This is known as Tabor's Law. Our situation is not helped by the fact that there is some atheist satirist who does an impression of our Pastor Deacon Fred at atheist conventions. People hear about him and start rumors that they are the same person and that the real Landover Baptist Church is also just a joke. Some Atheists go so far as to vandalize our church's Wikipedia page to say that we are a satire. Here is a link to the version of the Landover Baptist Wikipedia article before the vandals got a hold of it." http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Landover_Baptist_Church&oldid=173411728

Comebacks for memorial invitations
by moomanchu ini thought in this hounding season we could have a little list of comebacks to jdub invitations to the memorial.. kinda like a reasoning book witnessing tool in reverse.. i thought of one just today;.
when the dub inevitably says this is the one thing we are commanded to do in the bible;.
you might respond with; really could you please show me from the bible where it says we are to observe .

I like the one someone posted on JWD a few weeks ago... Something like... "I'll be attending the memorial invisibly, like when Jesus returned in 1914" I'm expecting an invite from the in-laws any day now. But, that line might cause a little too much trouble.
