pamphlet
by gspradling inmy jw mother gave me a pamphlet from her convention "when will the suffering end" or something to that effect.
anyway, the back page mentions "upright" ones and then it mentions "blameless " ones.
i was wondering if jws consider both of these "ones" to be the same people (jws) or if they consider them different groups?

Thank you for your reply, Frannie. But I was wondering who they considered the upright and blameless to be in that tract.

Thank you for the replies. I have never been disfellowshipped to my knowledge. Since we moved to Indiana after I decided to fade away, I don't believe anyone here has any idea I was ever a jw anyway. (except my family). It just bothers me that somewhere in Louisana I might still be on their files. I would like that part of my life erased.

Hi All,
How long do you have to be inactive before they take you off their records? I have been out for 30 odd years and have not heard a word from them for many years. My Mom is still very active (but in a different cong. and state), but acts as if I was never a member around other jws. Is she still worried that I will be d/f? She does not know that I read apostate literature or lurk here. Would that make a difference to her or her friends? Gene Spradling

Are You A Non-Practicing Jehovah's Witness?
by minimus inthat's how my wife described herself to her sister, niece and former bible student yesterday.

I know my jw mom considers me a non-practicing jw, but I have been an Xjw for close to 30 years. I should have been disfellowshipped many times over. Either my mom has never turned me in or they just don't care in the her cong.

What's the most hypocritical thing(s) you've ever seen a JW do?
by Steve Lowry inup high on my list has to be when a jw co-worker named john fitzgerald tore into me one morning (when i was coming in late for work) for grabbing a quick piece of cake from the lunch room.
turns out, someone in this small little office had brought in the remainder of their birthday cake for folks at work to finish up eating.
john was older than i and a ministerial servant (ooh) and felt it his responsibility to keep me on the straight and narrow.

My Mom always put me down for celebrating Christmas and criticized my wife for sending her a Christmas card, yet she had no problem accepting a monetary gift from her stepfather every year around Christmas time. She refused to say the $200 was a Xmas gift, even though he always sent it to her in Dec.
