  one of my friends on the board said that she downloaded the 1947 awake pdf that "bereanbiblestudent and invetigator 74" posted, and in the first issue on page 26, it said that excommunication or disfellowshipping was a pagan practice.

  People in third-world countries are STARVING because of the price of fuel and high prices of food, yet they say the reason is so the first-world nations can save fuel? How does that make people in the third-world feel, who are starving as I type this?

  How can people believe this horseshi*t??

  The lesson here is Jehovah will NOT PROVIDE, so any lurkers here who are young, GET TO COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY, or you're going to be poor and bitter when you're out of 'the truth'. Believe me, it will happen.

  from reading reports on jwd it seems that many are in the process of quietly leaving the watchtower organization.. it's almost become disease like - and spreading rapidly, even acutely in lands where access to information is greater.. people who i've known for years have suddenly disappeared - it reads like a stephen king novel.. what have you noticed?.

  There are many people just hanging in there, and many who just get re-instated so they can fade, just so they can see they're families. They don't serve Jehoblah out of love - so they're going to theoretically have they're eyes picked out by the crows at armageddon anyways (if you believe the Filthy and Discreet Slave).

  Do you hate elders and ex-elders?

  do you think they all ended up being elders because they were ambitious and loved to exercise authority over others?.

  or do you realize that each elder has his own story and that some became elders under great pressure?.

  do you really think that all of the elders enjoyed participating in judicial committees?.

  I have met very nice, considerate, exceptional elders! They were very kind to me, and many others. Of course, when you fade, they want nothing to do with you - shows they're motive. And they were few and far between.

  Do I hate them? No. There were some A**holes, and I don't like them - but I don't hate them. Hate is pretty destructive, and I try to eliminate it from my life at every opportunity.

  Those on this board who have been sexually abused and /or had elders cover things up, well, they have every right to hate. I can only hope that one day they can heal. I don't know if it's possible for those persons to ever stop hating.

  embarrassed about having been a witness?

  last weekend witnesses came to where i work....i work at a barbque restuarant (hey it's fun!

  ) i recognized two elders before they came in and freaked!!!!!.

  the elder obnoxious was at the register and i was sure he did not recognize me.

  I am very emberassed. It was a very needy time of my life, and a very low one. My fish mouth was wide open for the hook. To this day, I find it inexcuseable and shameful. The hook, line and sinker was taken. It didn't take too long to figure them out (relatively).

  Reasons to Miss the Grand Boasting Session

  those grand boasting sessions have begun, some of them starting with children still in school (and some when they needed to be at school to take final exams).

  and yet they insist on people skipping school (and work) to be at all three days of these wastefests.. now, why might there be reason to go?

  curiosity is one, and that is the kind of curiosity that often leads to trouble.

  have you ever thought why apostle paul do not mention wars, pestilence, earthquackes, famine when he talks about the last days?

  or why apostle peter only says, that in the last days ridiculers will come, asking were is his promised presence, and that from the beginning all remains exactly the same?

  and why does peter not say: look at the wars, but says: all has not been the same, because a flood occured.

  I have heard him on Howard Stern, and he doesn't give a sh*t what people think of him, from what I've heard. He seems happy, content... Family Guy has had him on the show - I don't know if it's a parody - but in any case, pretty funny. He's got a sense of humour about it, something that I admire.

  It's official - my first convention

  i decided that it was time my study conductor got a payoff for his nearly two years of diligent study and so i told him i will go to the convention in sandy eggo.

  i have never been to a kh or assembly or anything that was jw in nature, so i am asking for a little help.

  so, i made a print of my beth sarim picture that is my current avatar so i can show it to anyone i meet and the will know i have 'tower cred.
