If Saddam got away while we were at war with him that would be another black mark on the U.S. Our entire war is focused on him. Elsewhere spun it correctly but the rest of the world would not only see us as warmongering but incompetent.

More fundie thinking. God can kiss my ass. The West has gone downhill because we are hypocrites. We always try to claim a psuedo moral high ground but we have the largest porn industry in the world. Why? Because that is what people like. You cannot apply your sense of morality, which is based off of the writings of 2,000 year old goat herders, to me or anyone but yourself. You need to get rid of this concept of sin that people try to apply to everyone but themselves and just live your life. Religion and all of its hypocrisy are what is ruining the west and the rest of the world. You sound no different than an Islamic extremist. What this country needs is a good old fashion Bible burning.
Bin Laden is correct in that the U.S. is trying to homogenize the world into its own view. However, he is just as self interested as any other fanatic whether it be Hitler, Stalin, or Mao. As much as I loath Bush I think he really thinks he is doing what is best for the country. I just happen to disagree with his point of view.

- Waning gibbeous
- Waning Half
- Waning crescent
- New (this is the start of the next cycle)
There are 8 cycles of the moon. Gibbeous is the term used for a moon that is at 3/4 to full moon. Waxing Gibbeous is the increase of light toward a full moon. Waning Gibbeous is a decrease in light as the cycle turns to a new moon. I should also state that the 8 Sabbats coincide with these 8 cycles as well depending of the moons distance.

I've always been a firm believer that there is a superior intelligence, anyway I hope so, but I have no proof of it, and no one has been able to prove whatsoever. We are all on our own as far as our belief system is concerned. Our realities are all different. So before you want to change someone's reality, make sure your own is correct, cause history has proven many realities wrong.
I think this is an excellent statement. It pretty much sums up how I feel about theists. I really don't care if someone wants to believe in Jesus or Buddha or Ganesh just so long as their motives in life are not to convince everyone else that this is how they should believe as well. The very nature of Christianity forces a person to do this very thing. However, I think you can make a descision not to preach to everyone. That being said, I think giving your opinion on a matter and preaching are two different things. But if you make bold statements then you should be ready for a bold response.
There is a Pagan coven up in my area that worships Faeries. They take it very seriously, even though I laughed when I first heard, but they do their own thing and could care less if anyone agrees with them or not. They keep to themselves when in ritual and are perfectly nice to everyone when they're not. I've not had any Pagans, atheists, buddhists, muslims, or hinduists to name a few come to my door trying to convince me that I need the believe what they believe. However, I've had 2 Baptists, 1 Mormon, and 1 Lutheran come to my door telling me the Bible is the word of God (haven't seen a JW in over 6 years).

Tower it sounds to me like you already have your mind made up about the Bible. One thing you must realize is that the Bible does not prove the Bible. Hell I can write a book saying how I was inspired by God and prove it by saying "I was inspired by God". The question to theists is prove your Bible is the word of God without using the Bible. Which is why there are so many young creationists with an agenda when they get their PHD's. Unfortunately, their attempts at proving the Bible have all failed and they are usually laughed at in the scientific community.
