I love how people always want individual proof. Marilyn I could prove it to you but I'd have to kill you and that would throw my Karma out of whack. You could prove it to yourself and commit suicide but that too would mess with your Karma.
I'm more inclined to believe in circular time than linear. Angels, heaven, hell, Devil, God are all good for scaring you into faith.

Nice letter. However, as I've seen from other JW they exist in an alternate reality of their own making. It is likely your wife will either see this as persecution or laugh it off and go about sneaking around behind your back. I don't know what your kids feel about this the whole WTS thing but they may also rebel against you. My only advice is to be as cool to them as you can and hope they figure things out for themselves.

yesterday, i typed up a flyer saying how jehovah's witnesses' protect pedophiles, and how many who have spoken out trying to protect children from wt policy have been excommunicated from the church.
i didn't want to make it too long, but i ended by saying "how would you feel if on saturday morning, a knock comes to the door and your 6 year old runs to open it.

today i had my jeep towed into the shop..i dreaded the ride in with the driver (im extremly shy).
but we ended up haveing a great conversation about what vehicle i should buy next.. what a perfect person to ask cuz of his job.
he said "dont get another jeep they roll too easy and they catch on fire.".

I'm Pro-choice (had to get that out of the way). I'm actually for mandatory sterilization after X number of kids but that is another political issue.
I'm not surprised at all by the Bishops comment. He is towing the corp. line. Once the church has its mind made up about an issue they are the same as the GB. It is a directive from God. Only difference being it usually takes the church a few hundred years to change and they sometimes will apologize for their actions. Nothing really amazing about the comments but people who are rational can rip them a new one. To the believer this is the in one ear out the other kind of thing.

why do people discriminate against people that have different color skin?
i understand it is a learned response, but my "elder" father is very racist... and this is how i was raised.. i don't get it.
Perhaps my biggest pet peave. Reverse discrimination. There is no such thing. This term presumes that racism and prejudice are a white problem. As it is often applied to whites who hate white people and blacks who hate black people. The difference being it is inferred that the black person is acting white. Until various leaders (white and black and whatever) accept that racism is a state of mind and not a color many problems will be overlooked. I've met hardcore racist white guys and I've met hardcore racist black guys. They are the same thing. Both have their reasons for hating and both believe that they are justified in how they feel. The one step forward two steps back thing isn't going to get us very far.
to spice, moe, gsx, & many others i've met here, i have a question: whether xjw or just associated w/ jw's at some point in time, those who now consider themselves pagan: do you have a link to a pagan site that offers good chat & board services like this one does?
i'm getting to a point where i frequently find myself reading some very valid ideas against jw's and basically posting "yeah.
" i'm not interested in leaving this board entirely, but i am interested in finding a board that suits my current beliefs & interests more fully... i want to accentuate the positives more so than the negatives in other words.... this is in no way meant as a slam against this board; this board has helped me as nothing else ever has.
