i thought i saw somewhere where you could buy an online/pdf version of the book.
is this true?
and last night i found out that the movie "the 40 year old virgin" is a no-no.
we were watching dancing with the stars and def leppard came on as the musical guest and played "pour some sugar on me" (one of my personal favs), my mother asked if i thought my pastor would approve and i shot back what would he have to with it.
she said well because of the words in the song.
"Why are you examining the splinter in my eye when you have a rafter in yours?"
i've always wanted to ask this question to those that have decided to leave the organization.. what will you do when the great tribulation begins?.
right now folks, a lot is happening in the political world.. gordon brown (prime miniter of england) last week gave a speech to the un stating that it is time for the un to step in and solve the world's problems, (specifically mentioning the economy and hunger crisis worldwide.).
barrack obama is shaping up to be the next president, a fellow who sure knows how to persuade and lead great crowds.
no other religion even comes close to adhering to Jesus' teachings. the aspect of neutrality in the political world alone sets us totally apart.
I hear that arguement alot. How about this ...
No other religion even comes close to reproaching Jehovah's name, the aspect of numerous false prophecies since the beginning and to the present day that sets the Jehovah's Witnesses totally apart from other religions.

Jehovah's Witnesses were still celebrating Christmas in 1919.
Jesus approved!
i am tired.. tired of thinking.
tired of wondering whether every issue or hangup i have as an adult is because of my cultish upbringing.
tired of not having a normal relationship with my mother, father and sister.
I follow the "one day at a time" motto. It really helps. No anxiety. No unrealistic goals.
Ask yourself ... what things make YOU happy? It's time to give yourself some quality time and recover. Most of us ex-JWs need it. Call it "spiritual healing" or whatever. Give your mind some R&R (rest and relaxation). If you are continuing a "truth" quest, be patient ... it will come to you in time, so don't hurry it.
Try to find peace.

I'm tired too.
weird.
after the letter was read, many clapped.
i don't know how to interpret that.. .
Many here beat themselves in lamentation (in the bathroom),
I LOL'd at that one. Thanks.
hi.. just wondering what made you take the final leap out of the org?
was it doctrinal in that certain things just didnt add up or was it because of the actions of people in the org.
that made you leave?
Lies, Damned Lies and Doctrines!
1. They blantenly alter scriptures to suit their own theocratic bullshit. John 1:1 comes to mind. Brackets? Who needs brackets?
2. The continuous false prophecies since the start of the organization that continue today.
3. Unscriptural doctrines. No blood. A disfellowshipping offense? Fine, but at least my child will live to make their own decisions.
4. Cult-like mentality. Don't think! Don't research! Don't read the Bible on your own! Don't associate with non-believers!
5. The lies. Beth Sarim for the "ancient worthies"? Yeah, right. Rutherford just needed a place to live off the hog during the Great Depression while the R&F were living in cars.
weird.

They'll clap no matter what news comes from the top. Trained monkeys. The GB could write a letter saying "We must no longer wear wedding rings because we see in Genesis 41:42 where Pharoah took his off and put it on Joseph's hand. The ring was used as a symbol of power and authority, but notice it is upon the hand of an idolatrous pagan ruler. So, let us remove this pagan jewelery. Sell it and contribute the money to our worldwide ministry work!"
