My favorite scene happens to be the one where Ringo does a series of flashy moves with his gun right in Doc's face... Doc just pulls up the tin cup he was drinking from and starts doing flashy moves with it... pure genius..

PROVE that Jehovah's Witnesses have the "Truth".
by undercover inminimus started a thread asking people to prove that jws don't have the truth.... but, instead of proving they don't, i'd like to see someone prove that the witnesses do have the truth.. this is your thread jw apologists....convince me why you have the truth.. to all you apostates and nay-sayers, please allow the apologists to have their say without harrassing them.

They have the best translation of the bible according to the urban legend myth regarding a Jeopardy question...
Angels protect the sisters that preach so serial rapists wont attack them...
Demonic smurfs cannot bear to hear the name Jehovah and run out of kingdom halls when unrepentant, desobedient and death-deserving-in-Armageddon kids bring them in...
They and only they have the light and wisdom that the faithfull and discreet slave gives...
Only they have an all loving, tolerant governing body of annoitted (sic) men that protect them from such harms as college and sport participation
Do you need more?

To think that once upon a time I fell for this crap! I mean most of us did... we swallowed it, savored it and even repeated it!
To all I ever preached and cajoled and dissed in the name of this putrefact, blinding, nauseauting so called religion/cult/sect, I offer my apologies.. I just did not know better... but NOW I DO...

Resting in the Lord.
by LouBelle ini know there are many that don't believe in god, but for me and those that do, i find one thing (above all) to be so wondeful.
that i can rest in the lord and the peace that is in me is truly truly a marvelous thing.. when situations arise that are beyond my control, my human nature wants to rise up and panic and indulge in the drama, but then i go back into that rest of just being.
not worrying beyond what i should.

Completly different opinion. To me, with all due respect, you are the one whinning here. Her 'funny' approach to what we lived as basically children forced into the religion is sort of a catharsis... others cry she laughes and made me laugh about how stupid this whole religious thing is. The fact that you feel you would 'strangle her' tells me she hit a nerve within you.
People who have lived similar experiences have basically 2 options:
1. Get frustrated and cry and whine about what happened and turn in a bitter sourpuss.
2. Get frustrated and cry, then laugh about the whole situation... and pity those who are still in it ( in completly or out but still under the spell of this utterly and totally stupid religious concept).
Laughter is still the best medicine...
