Will there be bars in the New System?

with apologies to laverite.... growing up as a jw i always imagined the new system (tm) as being just like it's presented in the literature (tm).

i thought we'd all be hanging around with dorky looks on our faces, petting tigers and panda bears all day while we eat fruit and practice our dorky grins.. peronsally, i've never seen an illustration from the society showing modern conveniences.

the people in the illlustrations are always working in a garden somewhere (while wearing meeting clothes) or looking heavenward with a frontal lobotomy smile.. i think to be able to survive in this new world, i would need alcohol and lots of it.

Can you recommend some movies/videos?

an ex-jw meetup group i attended just watchted worlds apart together and the host wants to do this type of thing more often.. i would love to see religulous, but the group would be divided on such a movie.. i suggested the documentary, jesus camp and september dawn.. do you have any suggestions i can pass along?.

Get a nice PC, hook it up to a big screen and watch Ancient Aliens on the History Channel or web page... you will have discussions about this one for months to come... I think they are up to chapter 20... try to see it in order.

i just got off listening to the the tape about the teh bethlelite brothers and the case a member of the anointed has filed against a congregation about an illegal disfellowshiping...and both of these "brothers" have set this organization for a very hard fall!

but!...thats not what i see from what o got from these tapes....but it will be a big contributing factor (i actually feel sorry for those poor "ignorant" elders who will be left to "flap-in-the-wind" over this!!!

)..but its what ii know is comig about all religion that know for a fact!!!

We can only speak in concrete terms of the past. History Channel presented (still available thru the net) a series called "Ancient Aliens". It is not dogmatic; it is arqueological investigation of the past. There is no interest whatsover to 'convert' you.

It presents some interesting data you might want to examine and corroborate. Foodalls may be wrong in the way he is trying to present the information (or not present). He is turning into a 'preacher' revival style... treating people like they are too dumb to understand this 'knowledge' given to him. Wrong approach to the wrong crowd. Bro! And there always is the speculation based on the past that we have to deal with everywhere!

Anybody into aromatherapy and smell good stuff?

i always like my apartment smelling nice with a great fragrance and i like different ones throughout the year.

however there are some smells i can't get enough of, like the smell of sandalwood.

i just stocked up on some since the price is skyrocketing right now.

There is another possibility out there... I've been watching on the Hist Channel a series called "Ancient Aliens". It is well into its 20th chapter but I am sure you can watch them on the Net.

The best part is that these documentaries are informative and not dogmatic. And it makes you think a hell lot about "what if ..."

If you watch it and have comments, I would like to read them.

But then again, there is nothing wrong in believing in yourself and in love... I also belong to that 'religion'!!!
