it can be picked apart scientifically and it's prophetic claims don't withstand scrutiny.
surely god could've come up with something more convincing?.
if the almighty had started genesis by establishing his credentials thoroughly i'd be more inclined to take the rest of the book seriously.

I am fading so I am not really out all the way....but I am now taking advantage of a chance to go to college. In a couple of months I will have my IT Degree and will then go after a BA, MA an then maybe teach.

with the memorial season behind now, there is a question i have that in over 30 years as a jw i never got a solid answer.
jesus died for our sins; he was the perfect sacrifice, etc, etc.
i always heard how tough it must have been for god to watch his only begotten son die the way he did.

It never made sense to me that the death of Jesus was a sacrifice because he "resurrected"? Where is the sacrifice? Nothing was lost.
Jesus death and resurrection is important as a whole. Its to show us that after death that we will have resurrection just like Jesus did.
He pays the price, dies, comes back..Why because he lived for his Father..Just like we should be doing

i used to say "isnt jehovah wonderful -he is being especially merciful by delaying the end so more people can come in the truth and be saved" the wtbts representatives have said the same.. problem here is that earths population grows about 20,000 per day (reference needed here) .

I personally think he is in it to save everyone..I just dont see the reason to send Christ to save a few..That will be a failure and he isnt one..
