The "just as" part tells you it's an analogy....not an exact example in every detail.
When you hear the word "they" in the N.T....you can be sure it's about men. 99% of the material is about men. The claim of Peace and Security comes from leaders which are men....never women. The whole bible is a book about men, women are prostitutes, concubines,jealous, gossipers.....and a handful are sweethearts in the bible.

Jesus said, "the world is fond of what is it's own, but you are no part of the world because I have taken you out of the world".
Jesus adopted them as heavenly sons and so their kinship was not of a carnal "worldy" source any longer but was to be a heavenly kinship in another world ( the heavens).......which was WHY they were to be no part of a world that's divided from him....one being earthly and of "the world" and the other one heavenly, not from this world. The other reason is.....Paul was a gnostic christian and the gospel account was from a literlist christian. Gnostic christians were more into "the superior" authorities than were the pious literalist christians ( gospels).....hence the epistles(letters) spoke more pro government/military.

The GB and all other Watchtower writers use the U.S.A. as their barometer for determining world conditions in relation to Jesus prophecy. They always fail to see that the things Jesus mentioned have ALWAYS been with mankind and they fail to see he was talking about the jewish people and what they would encounter.
Why would Jesus tell his diciples all these signs to look for if they would never see these signs since these signs wouldn't even happen until 2000 years later....according to Watchtower theology and most of christendoms ideas on this?
