Farkle....it still baffles me how "I"....could not SEE things as I do now, for soooooo long! That bothers me! I thought I was brighter than that.

Sorry for the delay as I was offline for awhile.
Yes I am serious. When I asked my wife if one of her friends maid it she said no. I then asked it came from the society and she said yes.
I will double check on this and let you know. I don't see any software covers laying around about it.
If i were'nt braindead, I probably could at least send some of it to you for a sample but I'm not that literate with the computor.
I'll find out more if I can.

One of my best friends who wanted to Do Alternative Service insted of prison fought with the elder body along with his parents. he and his parents saw nothing wrong and so he decided to work in a hospital.
He was disfellowshipped and cut off from all family and friend for years. He was finally re-instated and to this day is a loyal dub.
That same article I am speaking of in 94-95 said" how the apostates would love to see trouble come from this new understanding yet what has happened?! Not ONE of Jehovahs people have left over this".( something to this effect)
I would like to ask all those who were released from prison after this new understanding how they felt about this New Light and see if no one was bothered.
Excuse my languuage on this one but.... I would have wanted to kick someones ass on this one!!!!!!!!!!!

For those who've left - any regrets?
by starfish422 ini left almost nine years ago at age 18; my only real regret was that i was good friends with a young brother and i never said goodbye to him, or even let him know that i was planning to leave (had to leave my parents' home secretly while they were at the meeting one sunday; they had such a hold over me that i could never have stood up to them and told them beforehand).
.
i have no other regrets about leaving; i'm am now happily agnostic and so thankful that i found the strength to break free.. anyone have any similar regrets?

Hi Starfish. Yes and no for me.
If I had it to do over again and know what I do now I would have left differently. I would have tried to expose from within and been discreet about it.
As far about any regrets about being one (a JW )?
Sometimes I think I'm glad for the lesson in life. The lesson has taught me a lot in life other than the JW's are wrong. -

1.Picture showing a paradise full of happy people....Question at bottom ask's....Had your family study this week?
2.Picture of Jesus body afer being taken by diciples.... Question at bottom ask's.. "Are you prepared for the next meeting"?
3.Picture of Jesus being handed over to authorities....Questions ask's
..."have you done any personal study this week"?NEXT COMES THE FEAR AND INTIMIDATION PICTURES
4.Lot and his daughters escaping Sodom and Gomorrah with Lot's wife toasted in the backround......the question asks...(the same question as before with paradise picture).."have you had your family study today.
5. Picture of the Red Sea with Pharoah and his men getting dusted and in a picture beside it(split frame)Korah and his men getting torched by Jehovah.....question at bottom asks..."read the bible today"?
6. An angel pouring out Jehovah's wrath on the 7 headed beast...question at bottom asks..."been on the ministry"?I suppose it might as well just say....."see these pictures here of Jehovah doing in all these people?......Well thats what will happen to you, if you don't follow the questions we have put at the bottom.

Does everyone remember this reasoning with the New Light on Alternative Service?
The comment was made that even though this should have been a conscience matter all along....the brothers who spent YEARS in prison had showed their loyalty to JEHOVAH! To Jehovah? Yes Jehovah.It was HIS idea to let THEM think that you should be locked up in prison away from your stuggling wife with kids as HE didn't want to tell you how he REALLY felt about it until he has some examples of integrity under his belt.
You could have done Aternative service all along and your family would not have suffered but Jehovah decided to do it his way.
He has had us believe all kinds of stuff that we later learned was not true because he likes to see us progress.

We have an Elder who cleans our carpet. He does a great job and is a cool dude.
Even though he knows I am an Apostate, he will speak to me when I see him on OTHER jobs as I am in Floorcovering.Funny how some will be friendly, and others won't look your way.

because it isn't logic at all.. daniel book ch.13 pg.292 p.11.. "the next two verses of daniel chapter 12 do even more to help us identify "the holy ones of the supreme one."...
"the ones having insight will shine like the brightness of the expanse"..who are the ones having insight today?again the evidence points to the same holy ones of the supreme one.

God made the earth to remain forever
His purpose was to have people on it
God never changes his purpose
Since the bible say's some will go to heaven, then that means some would have to live on the earth
This is why we believe in TWO DIFFERENT GROUPS of christians within our organization.
We are the truth because no one else teaches this except for us and so this makes us the truth.
