You know what would be nice to post, to answer all of these blind dubs questions:
B.O.E. letters that tell the elders what to do with those who make trouble for an alledged pedophile after there is no proof found by the brothers, and no confession.

a while back, i told of my wife going by our old kingdom hall and surprised to see an american flag hanging by the window.

Selling a piece of property and performing a SERVICE on a regular basis can't quite be comparable in dubland.
I'm sure they feel anyone has a right to buy it even if is a church. It's offered to the public and a church is part of the public.
If a sister owned a grocery store and a pastor from the baptist church came in on a regular basis to buy food for the churches activities.....would she be required to not sell to him? No
Whats the difference? I see no need to make an issue out of selling it to whoever has the dough.

He must have meant a CONVERTED dub....not one raised in it.
However, are we really the person we were before becoming one if we were converted?
I don't think so. We carry emotional scars, many of our families are ruined, we lose faith in God, perhaps not endevoring to re-discover him.
However....we do learn lessons from going thru it too......for some...the lessons are'nt so good
i have heard this from jws many times.
they say that when the whole congregation is corrupt it is clearly noticable that jehovah's spirit is not with them.
eventually if the whole congregation is corrupt the gb dissolves the whole congregation.. jws say this as if it were from personal experience.
Documents cannot be given or proof of anykind WHY a congregation is disolved. The society has the 'reasons' on file.
The only way to find out for sure is get in the files.....right?
Otherwise.....all we have are stories of the many who have posted. There is no written record to many of the societys secret policies that others can gain access to.

although they have not literally changed it to require reporting to the authorities in all states, they have finally put into print the following: "additionally, the victim may wish to report the matter to the authorities, and it is his or her absolute right to do so.".
i am glad to see, straight from the wt, acknowledgement that the adults involved have every right to go to the police.
Clearly, the DF'ing policy was communicated through private letters to bodies of elders, or perhaps orally through Circuit Overseers, as is often done.
Wouldn't it have been nice if these 'letters' or an ex CO could show this as evidence of the Watchtowers 'private ways' of conveying their
true policies.
Why weren't BOE letters against silentlambs victims used for proof of their policies on DATELINE?

But a tape recording of a conversation from the service desk dosen't seem as convincing.

One who HAS confessed...or....was cought?
Did it clarify...."even it he denies it you may go to the authorities.....after.....the brothers have talked to him and he STILL denies it....you may go the the authorities" and we will give you no trouble?
Even if you are not disfellowshiped;
how will one be treated by others if the victim DOES go to the authorities? Will they be able to feel no guilt? No fear of being judged by others? No fear of feeling like an outcast for "causing trouble"?
I think we all know the answer......so.....will anything really change?

i'm guessing there is so much money involved, we couldn't hope to see an end to them, but that's what needs to happen imho.
after all, jim and tammy faye bakker had lots of money associated with their church, and a theme park complete with hotels to boot and they're all gone.
Personally, I feel that attempting to reform the JW cult into a respectable religion would be as large an impossibility as making a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

They dropped all former ideas similar to the dubs and are now mainstream christians. This happened when herbert died and the son took over.
I would like to see a reform. I think the dubs have "some" things in proper order.
If they would drop the FDS idea,and... that the organisation alone holds the 'TRUTH".
If they would let peoples own interpretation be the guide for worshipping God.......that would be cool.
I still would like to kick the ass of each and everyone of the GB really good, before a reform however! Then after I kicked their ass........slap the piss out of them for being the bastards they are!

well, as i've mentioned before, even though i am an ex-jw at heart, i am still forced to go to meetings and occasionally in field service due to my circumstances (live at home with parents).
my time out in field service is pretty low, as i only spend like an hour a month out just to keep my family off my back, and that hour is usually one hour of rv with some poineers, so i can't remember the last time i actually really went out, or spoke to anyone at the door .
i guess out of "spiritual" concern, by uncle sent me the following article a couple of weeks ago:.
