DID YOU ALLOW BAD ASSOCIATIONS?
by minimus inbeing raised as a witness, i was taught to have nothing to do with worldly people.
as long as they were not dedicated, baptized worshippers of jehovah, they were considered as wicked ones that would soon be destroyed at armaggedon.
in school and later, at work, i tried to keep a safe distance from anyone not a witness.

Were you affected by these rules on bad association? Were you considered bad association??
I think every person who was a loyal dub was affected!
Your veiw of other people was not normal....they would all soon be dead, and were on satans side.
Guilt would bother you if ran with wordly people.
I was a good association guy. I was an Organisation person through my whole dub life.
We were told by our C.O. Paul smith, to not let our 7 year old daughter play with the neiborhood kids anymore because the day would come when these little playmates of hers would become little worldly girls one day with no bible values. How would we stop her then?......was his reasoning.
And so we did. My daughter and we......got to suffer the humiliation of making reasons why she couldn't play with them anymore after being childhood friends for years. Yes.....it causes damage!
What a sick bunch of pathetic, brainwashed people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Question for Newbies
by gumby inof all the jw's that are alive at the present.......the biggest percentage of those have been in the organisation 10 years or less.
most have no knowledge of the reason why others leave.

Keep Sirona in your thoughts, Surgery today
by Cassiline insirona is going back into the hospital today for more surgery.
she will be going under general anesthesia to have more biopsies done.. i know its always scary to "go under.

Most unhypocritical religion which one?
by haujobbz inthink about it when you chose to become a jw why did you choose that belief.. was it because you witnessed there good works or there following the scriptures closely or even there so called similarity to 1st century christians.. when i think about it, i didnt really witness these things it was the books i studied which told me this because if i had really looked closely at the activities and jw roots i would of realised they werent the pure religion they claimed to be.now i think about it why didnt i take my study more serious not just reading what the jws gave me but looking to outside sources for more information, im really gutted i didnt do this now.
i mean did i look at other beliefs to see how they functioned nope i just believed the books i studied and that was it and i thought i wasnt gullible.. so now in the situation most of us are in today if you were to look at most religious christian beliefs today which would you say follows the bible closely and imitates the 1st century christians the closest,sticks to gods and christ teachings closely.
also have any of you thought about joining another faith and which one?

First...to comment on this. The dubs did one hell of a job with a sales pitch that surpasses most in gaining converts and to convience ones....they have the truth.
They marketed Gods name, hellfire , immortality of the soul, holidays, the preaching work, dissfellowshipping, neautrality, and on and on.
It was easy to make these things look bad and them look good. Some thing most other Christians didn't think of doing in that manner......nor wanted to.
As far as your question;

As far as religion goes........the unhipocritical ones are scatterd everywhere and not tied to any one faith/religion. They all have hippocrites.Good people exist in various faiths...dubs included.
The Catholics are pretty good about making no bones if they sin. Not the good ones though.

Be busy in service= more dough
Be busy at your secular work=more dough
Be busy with your studying for meeting's, family, etc,=no loss of members....more dough
Don't take the time to look at your life realistically.
Stay so busy you will never change what you are now!

Drool! Spit ,Saliva, ........Statistics show that if their was a drool contest in the world.......a dub convention would collect the most Saliva. This is caused from very deep sleeping HUMANS THAT ARE SO BOARD ....the instantly go into REM sleep......which is the sleep that produces the most drool from a upright leaning head position.
Some of my best dreams have been at the conventions.

Ringo was tired of being in the back all the time while the other guys got all the girls.He got to sing only a couple of songs......"Yellow submerine,".... and "your sixteen,your beutiful and your mine" (He was like 48 when he sang it).....anyway.....he got pissed and was resposible for raiding the London thing or what ever the hell this thread was about!
He got pissed one day and went off!
