If you are living the life you want to live and are not going to go back to the Borg, there is no reason for you to respond to them at all. You've already cut your ties with the Borg. Just ignore them and move on. You are your own woman now and don't answer to them anymore.

by ana_dote ini know, i know...it's all part and parcel of the whole fading thing.....but..... i missed a phone call from an unknown number tonight....oddly enough, had this been a few months ago the number would have still been programmed in my phone.
the number was to the kingdom hall i used to attend over a year ago.
i have not set foot in it since probably late april, early may, of 2009. but tonight an elder called.

I've just recently gotten into smoking. First it was smoking salmon and then smoking pork so I could make my own pulled pork. Yeah, baby! Hopefully, Mr. St. Ann will bag a deer or two this fall and then I'm gonna smoke that. I think smoked venison will be fantastic and I'd like to serve fresh venison for Thanksgiving, kinda make it really authentic.

BTW, there are real people who can back up what I say, too, but I don't want to "out" them here. They've been through so much. The daughter in particular, who was so badly abused by her father for so many years, has never really recovered psychologically. I doubt she'll ever be able to live on her own.
Eventually this man's wife found out what he was doing and divorced him immediately. Due to the two witness rule, he got off Scot free and married another sister in the KH. They had a daughter, whom he also molested. That wife didn't bother going to the elders. She called the police and he was sent to prison. If the WTS had done it's job, he would not have been able to continue to ruin lives.

I grew up in a rural area. After the book study, the adults would go outside and sit in lawn chairs and visit with each other while we kids ran around. Some of the boys would ride dirt bikes through the corn fields, sometimes we'd go upstairs to the boys' bedroom to play board games. Sometimes we'd play out in the barn. When it was really hot, we'd go swimming in their pond.
No one watched us closely, except for the pedophile. The book study conductor was the pedophile's father-in-law and never suspected that the man was having incest with his own daughter. None of us did.
We called the book study conductor "grandpa" even though he wasn't flesh and blood family. We felt safe. That's what made us such perfect victims.

Today was day one for me, not a good day. I'm hungry. I made a pot of low carb vegetable soup in the crock pot Sunday night so that I'd have it for the week. Helps with those between meal hungries.
I forgot about it. It's been cooking in the crock pot for 48 hours. It's just mush now! Gotta throw it out and start over. That's how STRESSFUL dieting is for me! I'm already losing my mind!
