i have just been watching the carols and readings from kings college cambridge,england, bloody marvellous!.
a couple of times they have referred to the visit of the wise men, i wonder what you guys make of this,it always seemed to me a strange thing to be in scripture,the visit of some devout presumably zoroastrian seers.
the wt take on this is that "satan used them to try to bring about the death of jesus".

our little party here is coming to a close and i am very sad about that.
i remember on my high school graduation day in june of 1972, we were all standing in the cafeteria getting our caps and gowns on and i looked around the room at all these people i had literally grown up with for 18 years and thought "this is the last time we are all going to be all together" and it made me cry.
i have come to depend on and love you guys so much.
My Bro-in-Law (ex-witless faded 3yrs) is cooking a Goose and a leg of lamb for Chrissy day Yum-Yum,I'm such a carnivore! We will be together with his lot and other non-witness family. Great.! (he is a prodigious drinker,so to make sure I can keep up I am having several practice runs)

This accusation has come from a JW apologist who has by his own admission not fully read COC,and won't even accept a copy as a gift,does he/she deserve a reply even? from anybody? Why did this,trivial though it is, not surface years ago?

My understanding is that this case hinges on a written directive to cover up such cases,emanating from the Vatican,I think the Pope,(Cardinal Ratzinger)as the one in the vatican responsible for oversseing this at the time ,may be asked to give evidence.
I wonder if there ever was an "Elders Letter" to BOE's in the past that did not urge IMMEDIATE disclosure to the authorities,or worse to cover up,in which case scenario there would be a possibility of a class action against the WTBS.
In the BOE letters I have downloaded,it seems to me that the early one dealing with how Elders deal with abuse is missing,it is mentioned but is not in the collection I have.
The Andersons may possibly be able to locate one and see if it is of use,anybody on JWD got access?

i was introduced last night to the wondrous beverage that is chimay red, beer brewed by trappist monks.
.. now i have such a desire for more that i'm about to go out in the bitter cold to purchase a bottle of the blue label to try.

Another great Belgian beer is called Rocquefort (spelling?) like the french cheese, I believe this is bewed by monks as well,it certainly has a kick as it is 11% !!! but it tastes WONDERFULL!
I always drink it when I am in Belgium,funny,I have to keep going back 'coz I can't remember much about each trip.
