Obviously the C.O got on his Hotline to Heaven and the Holy Spirit guided him,but what did the Elders think the Holy Spirit was playing at with them,giving them the false idea that Jeff was kosher ?
(by the way what was the real reason the C.O vetoed you,and the officical version?)

my question is,because i have always thought that the extent of their power was in a geographic sense, their "parish" or territory, i imagined that if i moved congo.
"officially ",i.e said i am going to such and such a hall, and then never showed up,would either congo.
have any power over me,even if i had not moved home from the original congo's territory ?.
I'm not scared of them,but they have me by the balls,in the sense that at present ,with lots of family still in,especially my nearly ninety year-old mother,I don't want to get DA'd or DF'd.
I was just trying to think of a way to take that power away from them,and thanks,there are some good sugestions above.

I am not in a position to move home at present but will remember your helpfull comments, I may just have to continue my present tactic of just not going and hope they lose interest,but I think I'll get another Shep. Call after they study Nov.15th WT. Never mind,I was just trying to find a way round their power,but I guess they have had too many do that and they are trying to close any loopholes.

mine was the time i had my twin grandsons with me and i was sitting in the overflow room.
they both needed to go potty at the same time.
so i tried to pick both of them up.
Ours as a family was when my son no.2 at about the age of eight fell asleep during the service meeting,as we were sitting near thr rear of the hall,and he let out a terrific loud and long FART !!!!
About four rows of peeps around us fell about laughing,and the pompous ass (arse) on the platform thought HE had said a funny!

maybe it's just me, but lately it seems like there is a trend (well, moreso than usual in any case) of saying that paul is somehow of a different mind than jesus and that the teachings of the two contradict each other.
while i can see where having a jw background can easily bring this type of thinking around, most especially since they extol the teachings of paul and completely ignore christ, most of you are no longer under the power of the watchtower...er, you aren't are you?
and as such, you should be free of most, if not all, of the brainwashing to occurrs.
I have no difficulty in believing that Genesis was approved by God as part of his word,just because it may be included in the writings of Moses it does not preclude the God approved editing by a later hand,i.e the mention of the city of "Dan" in Chap.14v14.(the city no doubt existed in Abram's time,but was not known then as Dan) . Jesus refers to Jeremiah I believe,but quotes from another prophet,so "Moses" may not have had a huge percentage of input to Genesis

The Servant in Isaiah is prophetic of The Christ alone. I am taking bets without having listened to these articles that in some way the prophecy is mis-applied to benefit the FDS . (those nasty apostates piercing them with their cruel attacks ?)

i have been wrestling with the idea of da'ing myself for close to a year now.
but there is a small area in my subconscious that whispers "this is not a good idea.
i haven't been to a meeting in over six months, no service in seven years.
Lance, I agree with the above comments,what I have found satisfying is ,if a Dub does make contact to say that one thing that does give me a problem is this.....and then leave them with one of the great questions (just one or they smell an "apostate") from the "Silver Bullett" thread.They don't come back,maybe it sows a seed and they have to see in their heart why you are no longer a dub. Win-Win situation as I see it,no D'F or D'A but maybe achieve the impossible and get a Dub to think!
