It's our Wedding Anniversry next week,and I am strapped for cash,but worse,I am bereft of ideas as to what I should get my dear Wife.
I just got her a copy of C.O.C and a copy of Mary's project in a posh folder, so that should please her(?) (She keeps muttering about "Going back" as she misses her "friends")
Any more ideas for proper Lady pleasing presents? I will be so gratefull!

what a total mindfluck!.....this was not supposed to happen.....and i only (completely) woke up two years ago....so accepting my own mortality has not been easy.......i currently make good enough money....but damm....now i have to think about retirement?!?!?

No need to be rude to Reiaa, I know she is frustrating in that she is unwilling to debate (or rather unable, as you cannot defend false religion i.e the WTB$ on JWD!) but it is good to see the only tactic that is left to her is to divert a thread,and she hopes to divert the attention of Newbies from the truth about "Da Troof" Once they are alert to this method they can judge it for what it is,dishonest and an attempt to mislead.

i thought long and hard before making this thread, that many will not agree with it but i think there needs to be balance and people to realise there are alternate viewpoints out there on many of these subjects, the ones that are most spoke about on this forum.
i was recently sent a full message containing mary's book and these links give the rebuttal to many of her points.
those that are still open-minded enough feel free to look over them even if in the end you still don't agree at least you have heard both the defence as well as the attack as they are on the internet.

yesterday i had lunch with my parents.
now for as long as i can remember, my mom especially has had the mindset of armaggedon being right around the corner, any minute now, etc.. now......they are talking that "things are some years" away now.. is there another change in the works?

but I couldn't leg it they'd seen me, Now all these ladies are well into their sixties and were swapping details of ailments,a female pastime I'm told,and my super-Dub well cultist sister (brain-washed to the N'th degree) said "Roll on the New System!"
Awhile ago all these sisters would have agreed,but there was a silence ! (Tumbleweed job!)
I think they all wanted to express their doubts but couldn't in front of my sister.

i no longer have my 1969 edition kit (or 1985 for that matter), but i'm very curious as to how the literal english sublinear beneath the westcott and hort greek text translates the words "aion" and "aionios.
" the nwt usually idiotically translates as "system of things" when in actuality "aion" means "eon" or "age" and "aionios" means everlasting, eternal, and according to some translations such as young's literal and the concordant version "age lasting" and "eonian.
here are some verses to look up to let me know how the kit translates the above koine greek terms: matthew 13:39,40,49,28:20 .
Doesn't that sort of thing,and I know there are many many other examples,prove that the NWT is a PARAPHRASE not a translation?
"Age" and "system of things" are VERY different.
So to market it here in the UK,under the Trades Description Act,they should entitle it "The New World Paraphrase" version,or more acurately "JW's Wacky Interpretation Version" [subtitled] " with selected additions(to prove our weird theology) to the original texts"
