Is the WTS About to Massage the Numbers in a huge Way?

obviously with no end-time date being out there right now, the wt to motivate members.

stagnation is the word that comes up frequently on the board here, and a currently active member, i see it permeating the dub attitude.

so this week's study article was interesting in that it potentially expands the area where dubs can count their time.

To answer the original question,but only IMHO,they have already started to massage the numbers,and to withold numbers,being carefull only to present "positive" ones.

This comes as no surprise to me as my P.O as he was then,now it is COBE or something,gave me a sherpherding call last year and stated that it would not surprise him to see a decrease in the figures.

Now, his brother is a HEAVY in Brooklyn Bethel,has been for years (only met him once and thought "what an arse**le) so I guess my PO had got some early info on the World Report and how the figures were in the West.

So yea,lots of massaging needed in the future if they are going to keep on claiming Jehovah's blessing upon them.

Why don't JWs follow Christ's ENTIRE command at Matt. 28:19-20?

jws take a great deal of pride in the fact that they follow jesus' command at matt.

go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit,teaching them to observe all the things i have commanded you.

i am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.. .

See Passwords latest blog,it's good and points out that the 1st. Centuary christians baptised people straight away! NO waiting till the CA or DA no months of study,no interminable questions from a book mentored by three morons,sorry Elders.

As I pointed out on that thread,JW's don't baptise in the Name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit so they ignore this bit of the command too!

Well done again Password! That is something that I had not thought of,and everytime I speak with a Witless it is mentioned "We arethe only ones" etc.

Of course Keyser is right,Acts 5 refers at best to a Return Visit type call,perhaps to the home of a JEW who had shown interest in the Market say,because the work had not yet been opened up to the Gentiles ,not until 5 chapters later in Acts,so it is hardly talking about a door to door work.

And the other scripture is Paul talking about teaching those who became older men in Ephesus,so again going from the house of one interested person to the house of another.

Right then Dubs,where is your 1st. Centuary pattern now?

You don't follow any method that they did,you teach a different Gospel,you don't let the new one get baptised forthwih,and when you do it's into an Organization not the Father,Son and Holy Spirit!

Running ahead of Jehovah

as i was exiting the society back in 1992, the elders were frantically trying to reason with me and kept saying that i was trying to run ahead of jehovah or running ahead of the organization?

just what does that entail?.

or they would tell me to "wait on jehovah" and eventually some of my beliefs/issues will be in line with the truth.

All the "Wait on Jehovah" crap is part of Dub circular reasoning,they start from the assumption that it IS gods Org. and then believe that he allows it to lumber on going this way and that,and sometime might give it a nudge back in the right direction.

Thing is Dubs, it is NOT and NEVER WAS God's Organization,so why should He even give it a nudge?

If He was going to sort out an Organization,surely He would start with the Catholic Church?

Truth is he dosn't care,he deals with individuals as he always has done,not organizations.

Welcome Wary! good advice above,even fromWelsh Thom! I think the anger subsides a little each day,but I don't want to get rid of mine completely,I am a naturally nice guy(and damned modest) so would let Dubs get away with their Bullsh*t if the anger wasn't there to a degree.

Keep us posted as to your progress,and the archive on this site really is a treasure! And Farkel knows a lot more than his name suggests!

Stupid Memorial

well, i am gonna have to go again because my wife wants to go this year.

she missed last year because she was sick and was so depressed about it for a month after because of the guilt her stupid family laid upon my poor darling.

last night she was visiting her dad (the only one who didn't guilt her) and he asked if she was going to go this year.

For the first time in 59 years me and Wifey aint goin!

The family, all in and well culty,will ask ,and rather than upset my 89 year old Mum,we are going to say"We will attend,but not in ..........."

Of course we will not go to a Memorial (reject Jesus Party)at a Kingdumb Hell,but we will partake of something somewhere,crisps and a beer in a nice Pub? Could well be.

this may be old news to some while most won't even know who he is.

in case you don't know him, he was a jw that defended many of the jw doctrine publicly.

he did this mainly in the form of two books, jw's defended and three dissertations on the teachings of jw's.

I am surprised at how many were like you and me,so apprehensive as we entered this board,Jeez with all the NUTTERS on here we were right to be fearfull!

The other thing your comments have brought to my attention,is how far we travel in so short a time,I was 58 years in the Borg and yet in a year or so on here,that is nearly wiped out,and my "spiritual" progress has been at warp speed!
