I think this is a case of "Legal" calling the shots. They want no connection should child abuse cases,or any other problem, result in expensive lawsuits.

i have a friend who has been in bethel for 15 years.
he is still single and looking for the right girl.
he is a really nice guy, he tries to help people in his congregation, the young people, the older ones.
I feel sorry for the ones who have needlessly sacrificed talents and life and aspirations to a publishing company, they could have lived their dreams, used their talents, been so much MORE than what they have been.
My own sister has remained single,a lifelong Pioneer, devoting her whole life (she is 60) to a false concept.
I include myself in this waste, but now I am determined to do good in any way I have the power, ignoring Dub constraints,be it politics or whatever I will do that which makes my few remaining years worthwhile.

i have heard that "paradise" will be achieved gradually; that it will take all of the thousand years to reach that state of perfection.. .
now, while you may be convinced that it will take all that time to bring the earth back to it's pristine state....suppose it applies to humans as well?.
imagine this scenerio: wounds and broken bones heal slowly and gradually; your bags and sags are still there, but since you have seen results of other people, you hang on that the promise will be for you, too.
recent calculations as to the number of people who have ever lived put it at a figure of 106 Billion!!!!!!
where are the Dubs going to put them all? How will they feed them all?

i have just re-read a couple of my postings - no, the apolgy is not for being narcissistic!.
i hope i have made it clear throughout my postings here that while never a jw, i have intense sympathy, empathy and concern for those who have suffered, and continue to suffer, from this bullying and corrupt (imho) quasi-religion.
i hope that on occasion an 'outsider's' view may be helpful.. .
Apolgies and bad spelling accepted, you Welsh Git!
You will find us a " broad church" here, blimey mate, if we can put up with the likes of Outlaw (where is he lately?) and Da Ninja we cannot be offended by you!
Keep your comments coming, people on here will soon tell you if you overstep the mark.

ok, now here's a question for the other side.
when you finally discovered enough information that resulted in your leaving the watchtower bible and tract society's organization, what convinced you that you just needed to replace it with a better more believanle version instead of questioning the whole concept of an invisible god?.
is it that you find the idea of no afterlife to hard to deal with?
I believe the basic teachings of Jesus Christ to be a good way to live, even if he didn't exist.Teachings such as "treat others as you would have them treat you"
I do believe He exists, and is my saviour,is the Way, Truth ,and Life as He said, but my belief is pure faith,I have no proof that would satisfy even the mild sceptic.

i have become a 'hit and miss' attender here lately.
but it seems that the watchtower is shifting like dunes in the wind lately.
over the past couple of years they have:.
Hey Primitive! stop nicking my ideas, one of my first posts on the old JWD was "Wanted 145,000 partakers" or something similar, that was for last year.It would be funny if loads of us could go and partake, they would run out of teeth breaking crackers and cheap plonk thats for sure.
And if at leat 144,001 partook world wide it would blow their doctrine away.
But back to the thread, what will be the next shift in the sand? got to be money-saving in some way,IMO.
