  I don't come across a JW very often, my family are O.K, just treat me like any unbelieving relative, so they don't spout any nonsense at me, others that I meet its just a nod and a "how you doin' ?" so those guys don't make me sick.

  The GB and their puppet-masters behind the scenes who pull the strings, I have nothing but the utmost contempt for. If there were such a thing as "karma" in the sense of them getting what in all justice they deserve, then I would wish to live long enough to see it.

  Most of today's GB will maybe outlive me, so I doubt I will see it, but their lying, hypocritical murderous doctrines and methods do sicken me.

  yesterday i was reflecting on how being raised jw has effected my body image.

  i remembered an assembly talk from a couple of years ago.

  the speaker was doing your normal talk about modesty in dress.

  Dear Norcal-sun, throw off the shackles of your JW past, tone up, feel good, show off what you have as much as you like ! you won't be able to forever perhaps, so do it now !

  There is nothing more attracive than a woman who is shapely and yet toned, we came to that conclusion on another thread.

  When you are ready, post a before and after photo, if you are happy to do so, you could keep anonymity by not showing your face if you really wanted.

  We had a similar problem, but I resolved it with sensible discussion, it never went to court. My father owned a near derelict house, which he allowed a JW family to live in, rent free, until he needed it.

  The crafty bugger tried to get the old feller to accept rent, but dad would not, knowing this would give them rights, plus he would have seen a couple of months rent and no more, the "brother" had money troubles, which was why he was on the street with his wife and two kids.

  When father wanted the property back, matey boy, who by now was back on his feet, running amuch better car than Dad had etc etc, did not want to vacate, but I persuaded him it was a good idea (Don't ask)

  I also said that if he bad mouthed the old man I would take him to court, so he never had a bad word to say about Dad, which knowing him he would otherwise have.

  I guess we don't know all the facts of this case, but even if the owner did promise them a lifetime tenancy at a peppercorn rent, the judgement seem awry in the present circumstances, I hope the old lady wins, and the JW's will have to live at least a bit in the real world.

  Anyway, they won't have to pay a fair market rent for long, the "End" is soooooo close !

  there are some things i want to say, but i am saving some of it for a more appropriate time.. i thought i would start a simple "ideas thread" as a thread on which we can, well, share our ideas!

  in april, 1917 the united states declared war on germany.

  the german u-boats had sunk a bunch of american ships and the war declaration was justified, even though woodrow wilson was basically, a total asshole.. anti-german frenzy hit the american shores.

  sauerkraut was renamed "freedom cabbage" and dachshunds were stoned to death.

  Income Tax was introduced here, in the UK, as a tempory measure to pay for the war against the French, of course our sensible and mature and forward looking politicians removed it as soon as the gunsmoke had cleared from Waterloo.

  Like fcuk they did, two hundred years later we are paying ever more income tax, a special tax on petrol plus a tax on that tax (V.A.T), which is some of the most heavily taxed petrol in the world, we pay VAT on everything we buy except food and a couple of exceptions, we pay National Insurance, which again is a tax on a tax, as it is calculated on your gross income, and when you die, having been taxed many times on what miserable little bit of money you have got, we pay Inheritance Tax.

  It works out that for every pound we earn we give back £2 to the Treasury.

  No wonder I have never got enough beer money.

  Another example of following the LDS Church. Family Study Night was nicked as an idea from them.

  As the LDS Church is growing faster than them ,I guess the boys in the Marketing Department think it is down, in good measure, to the MormonMishie Boys on the street. The LDS boys (never girls, notice?) give away free copies of the Book of Mormon willy nilly, so JW's are copying that, and trying to get your contact details, yup LDS do that too.

  I used to do street work ,when it wasn't done by hardly any other JW's, it is more fun than DtoD, but no more effective I would say, and probably less so if they are simply standing behind a six foot table. Copy the LDS they might, but they can't even make a good job of that.

  i go to visit my native homeland and was amazed.

  the congregation i was in was filled with "holier than though papa is an elder" people and "my kids are pioneer' people.. none of them are witnesses any longer!.

  one who was married chuffed a wordly girl disfellowhsipped and happy.. another who was a "skirt chaser" now chases 'trouser snakes".

  What a laugh ! I have noticed over the years that people who really are prone to a particular sin are the ones who bang on about it ,get all self-righteous about it, answer up at the Meeting on the very subject.

  Bro Homophobe= closet gay.

  SisAa = has hots for some bro ......... and so on.

  I would be interested to see the demographic in my old Congo (now two congos), I don't think too many scandals have happened, I would probably get wind of them, but then again maybe not, but I would like to see who is not attending anymore.
