I do hope someone is looking after her, she is as important to the work that Ray did as his own writings, she supported him in everything, she hopefully is benefitting from the small income from the published works of Ray, but more importantly, I hope she is getting the day to day support that she deserves for her life of living the real "truth".

I was born in 1950, so I have seen most everything listed above.
I have also seen the total demise of the evil Watchtower Society/Jehovah's Witness religion.
Of course, that demise in the near future, but I have "seen the future " and this time, it really "works" !

"knocking the JW loose from the glue that binds them to the lies" that is what we would all like to do Terry, and your wonderful posts and ideas are giving us the tools to do just that !
Keep up your great work on here my friend, and don't bother to sleep ! a great mind such as yours should be on the go 24/7 !

While the world stood still with tears and sorrow....
by Terry inon friday, november 22, 1963, i was in high school in the cafeteria in fort worth, texas sitting at a table filled with school chums.. my jehovah's witness buddy, johnny, was back from shaking john f. kennedy's hand in front of his hotel earlier that morning.. he and his family were (oddly) big fans of jfk.
go figure.... .
not less than ten minutes later the speakers in the cafeteria crackled to life and the principle, g.b.trimble announced that president kennedy.

Very moving Terry, what you have written , to an old guy like me, who was there in 1963.
That night, as it was in the U.K, by the time we got the news, I was out on "Back Calls" as we called them then, (return visits they are called today, they rarely happen now) with a friend or two.
As I walked along a poorly lit street with my fellow keen JW, (he was about 15, I was 13, he left shortly after this) a woman called out to us from the other side of the street :
"President Kennedy has been shot dead!"
The news was so shocking that a stiff upper lip English lady would shout it across the street to complete strangers !
My companion straight away came out with the totally irreverant "Would anybody who saw the incident please telephone Whitehall 1212"
Which was the phrase we heard every night on the BBC radio as they asked for witnesses to a bag snatching or suchlike, and asked the public to 'phone Scotland Yard, the H.Q of the London Police, his comment was damned funny, if inappropriate, and in bad taste.
I have noticed over the years, and my dear wife remarked upon it even when we were active JW's, that it was strange that most of the JW's were either not affected, or hid it, by tragedies that affected non-JW's.
It is another evidence of how the cult mentality, induced by mind control, makes JW's subsume their normal emotions, and they do not, ever, acknowledge to themselves that they are doing it !

Recent C.O. visit: Bad news re: U.S. English meeting attendance
by Open mind invisiting a nearby town during his thursday night service talk mentioned how poor meeting attendance is in the english-speaking u.s. congregations.
he said that when the gb reduced the weekly meetings from 3 to 2, there was a brief surge in meeting attendance percentages.
after a few months it began to slide and it hasn't stopped sliding.

Black Sheep, what a great thing that would be, for your excellent work to be translated in to many languages!
Already these ethnic groups are getting more connected to the Internet as a few of their number become more computer literate, perhaps someone with each language skill could help with translation ?
French is another language widely spoken, there are probably others, but with just the main ones covered ,your excellent site could serve most of the globe !

Lawyers: Can a Jehovah's Witness sue the Watchtower Society for Civil Rights violations?
by Balaamsass ini have been on boards and run businesses, and been reminded by more than one cpa and attorney to cross ts and dot i s regarding corporate requirements or we would become liable to lawsuits.. therefore, my questions to any attorneys and cpas, and the keen minds on this board, are the following;.
i have been reading old threads on this site about watchtower society irregularities regarding tax filings with state and federal agencies.
evidently, a number of filings for different years were identical (unlikely if not impossible) or missing.

In the U.K we have a Human Rights Act which is similar to the European Act, I believe that in many respects the WT/JW Org goes against the principles enshrined in this Act, but it would need careful presentation of a case to prove a breach of the Law.

JW Apologists, Lurkers, etc., can you prove the selection in 1919?
by garyneal ini mean, this is the pivotal doctrine that will prove beyond all shadow of a doubt that this religion really is the one true religion.. why is this so?.
why not just read and study the bible and see that the witnesses adhere to it and therefore must be the one true religion?.
because a lot of what the witnesses say that bible says is merely their interpretation of the bible from my point of view.

J W's ! THE WORLD DESERVES AN ANSWER !!!!!!!!!!!
You knock on our doors, expecting us to join your religion, and put our lives, and the lives of our children and loved ones, on the line for the religion, and you are not prepared to show that your religion tells the truth about the 1919 choosing ?
If they are lying about this, how can it in any way be the "Truth" ?
Answer please.

'Where else is there to go'? Thoughts I had this morning--and evening...
by sd-7 ini was just thinking of something this morning.
when presented with the possibility that the witnesses could be wrong, the typical response is 'where else is there to go?
' in short, 'if not us, who?

Excellent O.P SD7 !!!
I also love Heaven's answer, especially if you only have amoment of the J.W's time , her answer, "Go Home"
Home is where you feel safe, happy, warm, well fed, no one (hopefully) is lying to you, wanting to dip into your wallet, or decieving you by witholding information etc etc
Does that really sound like the WT ?
Go Home, good advice.

Spot on Mr Punko',
as to the JW reasoning above that Wanabee used when in, I have had that said to me ,but like most JW reasoning, it makes no sense, when you look at the credentials of say the Christadelphians at the time, teaching 99% then what JW's teach today, being much more exemplary as to neutrality etc etc
Why on earth would Jesus not choose them as definately being "on the right track" he wouldn't have had to give them much "Noo Lite" to mould them,
would he ??
No, bottom line is, for the claim to have any credibility they must be able to show some unique quality, work, or doctrine that made Jesus choose them.
If he did not choose them in 1919, where do todays GB, today's Elders and MS get their authority from ?

Ding, you are correct in all of that above, spot on, but it would not matter if they could point to one unique doctrine that they taught in 1919, that they still teach in December 2011.
If they cannot do so, then as Ray Franz put it so well "To say that Jesus chose the Bible Students in 1919 on the basis of what they taught, is an insult to Jesus Christ" (Quote from memory)
