  i spent a couple of hours today with jw relatives and of coarse the usual subjects came up.

  based on our conversation and after leaving, a couple of the old questions came to mind.

  i'm curious about the rest of the boards thoughts.. now this may be conjecture but what if: god made it known,in no uncertain terms, that h/she exists and is finally going to put an end to all the evil in the world.

  Need help locating WT destroying U.S.Buildings

  i am in need of references to watchtower publications that contain images.

  of united states government buildings, especially the white house-.

  depicted as being violently destroyed by the watchtower society.. i have much of the wt literature pre-1992, and a bit of the post-1992 stuff,.

  Yep, thats the UN building for sure. Compared it to pg254 of revelation. That little side building is the give away.

  ...And BTW, those sort of indian looking buildings on the right hand side look a lot like the Kremlin.

  i'm including a partial quote of an article posted by tallyman on kents website.

  now most of you who know me are aware that i don't have a great deal of regard for the watchtower corporation.

  but this kind of extremism scares me.. "i am in need of references to watchtower publications that contain images of united states government buildings, especially the white house- depicted as being violently destroyed by the watchtower society.. i have much of the wt literature pre-1992, and a bit of the post-1992 stuff, but it is such a tremendous task to sift through all this literature to find these watchtower-generated images of destruction of u. s. government property and buildings, as well as the text or captions accompanying such.. please send me the name of the watchtower publication and page number and i will scan it and am in the process of making a webpage which will contain all the seditious material i can compile on the watchtower.

  SilentLambs issue is one of child abuse, mostly about sexual molestation, but do you deny that these horrific pictures in Watchtower literature, when shown to young children, is also a form of Child Abuse, and can cause lasting, even permanent psychological damage?

  A mother (formerly jW, wrote me yesterday) and told me that her two young sons died and she expressed - it will be aired in a documentary - that her two young sons were greatly mentally harmed by looking at horror pictures in Watchtower literature, especially about the WT-Fantasy of their Version of The End of the World.

  This is true. It can be scarey even to a teenager or older person too.

  I know of one incident, long time ago in the 50's, a JW ran up to a family member of mine when she was a kid and told her (she was by herself BTW) that the 'world was going to end'. She went screaming home to her parents. Never forget the incident.

  seeing all these different people on this board, together with varying personalities, thoughts and opinions, makes me wonder about our reading and viewing material.. take the daily news.

  if you watch tv, which news programme do you spend most time viewing and why?

  the same question as to which daily newspaper you read, plus, does your newspaper have a political bias that attracts you?

  The internet is the best source.
  CNN was quite biased during the Kosovo crisis. I take what they report with a grain of salt. But will always keep up with both sides.
  Thats the key. Read both sides.

  Don't ever truly trust any one source full stop. But some i rate better than others. Mainstream media took a huge hit for me during 99, during kosovo. So much went unreported...and so much still does. There is lack of real balance at times with commerical networks. For example with people who protest the WTO...for all the news that goes on about the rioting I haven't seen a Commerical network seriously try and represent their views...just pay it lip service and move on. I prefer Public networks to Commercial.

  Can you win a War against terrorism? Can the U.S. have 'victory'.

  good question...

  Turning certain Muslim countries into 'Glass parking lots' I dont think will win the war for you. I feel it will just stir up even more Anti U.S sentiment and in a few years time you'll have a whole new wave of terrorists on your hands. Bombs can cripple ecomomics for a time and drive people underground...but you cant take out an ideology with a bomb.

  i think he did a good thing to post an important point of view, a view that needs consideration to balance out the actioins of political leaders everywhere.

  I don't want to get into this 'yankee bashing' thing here. I like the Americans..really do. But I dont buy this 'greatest nation under God' shit...sorry!
  Rightly or wrongly, the U.S is hated for reasons in the middle east. Two issues that seem to keep cropping up are Iraq and the Palestinian issue. I dont buy the idea that US went into Kuwait and were the goodies that saved the world. I dont buy the idea that Israel are the goodies either.The more i look into it, the more things seem to become very morally ambiguous.
