I just wanted to update everyone on the bear watch. I know a lot of you have been concerned for me. We're into day two now and so far I'm still safe and unmauled. I had a bit of a scare last night around 11. I heard something walking on my deck, and of course I immediately thought "Oh god! Here come the bears!!" But upon investigation it turned out to be my neighbors cat. I'll keep you guys posted as the experiment progresses.

There was apparently a mistranslation of a Hebrew word which could mean children in their late teens rather than prepuberty children. Joseph when sold to slavery was described by that same word.
Also Bethel was a great centre of Baal worship and child sacrifices at the time so the taunting by them of Elijah may have involved more than just teasing him as a bald head. It probably had undertones of Baal worship against jehovah worship,a baalists insulting what elijah worshipped and stood for.If a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his ass hopping. A lot of things could have been. Show me in the text where it says they weren't simply teasing him. If god found it offensive to kill children for simply saying "go up you bald head", then he would have explained how they had done more than that to deserve death.
Further, I submit that responding to taunts of any kind with a bear attack is immoral, regardless of the age of the taunter. Nowhere in the bible does it accuse Satan of such a thing. In fact, while Yahweh kills millions in the bible, the only people in the bible that Satan kills are Job's family, with god's permission.

I still don't know when it is correct to use "The Organisation" and when to use "The Society"
They are interchangable, and any JW will know what you mean when you use them, although neither term is currently en vogue amongst active JW's. The currently used term is "The Branch", as in, the US branch, the UK branch, etc. There was a directive to use that term rather than the older terms, probably because "The Branch" seems less like a mystery cult then "The Society" or "The Organization". These directives are announced from time to time, I remember about fifteen years ago there was an announcement at an assembly that simply said: "Please say 'New World', not 'New Order'". The explanations for these changes in terminology are never given to the rank & file to my knowledge.

many of the church buildings and cathedrals that exist in england today date back to the first millenium after christ and thus were roman catholic at the time they were built.

A New Scholar has just entered the Building
by Honesty inour new resident scholar, rev1212 informs the board that.... the year 1914, which is the year that the gentile times (aka appointed times of the nations) ended, was determined though a study of the bible along with no doubt some holy spirit given to the brothers that were able to discern this information.. there are quite a few scriptures involved in coming to the year 1914, one of them from ezekiel about "lifting off the crown and it will be no one's until he who has the legal right comes".
so that is the starting point, which was 607 bc, when jerusalem fell to babylon.
then another significant scripture is from daniel chapter 4 which showed the appointed times of the nations would be "seven times".

On top of what has already been said (607 B.C.E. is a made up year that is entirely contrary to the voluminous evidence) the WT states that a "prophetic year" (as in the 2,520 days) is 360 days, yet they arbitrarily switch to 365 day years to arrive at 1914. Their own crazy talk is internally inconsistent.
