We watched this last night & were disgusted! A physician takes an oath. Part of that oath is saving lives, not pandering to religious to cults. It is a waste of the taxpayer's money to tie up courts with the Mickey Mouse nonsense of a guy on his own, perssonal jihad.
It has crossed my mind many times that when I was an older teenager when my mom got into this crap, & drove my dad out of house & home, attempting to turn the children on him, it could have been me. It could have been any of my siblings, sacrificed on the watchtower alter, had we become injured. She would not have informed my dad, then did her thing.

Gravedancer, I can totally relate! One day a nuclear family, the next, us teenage kids are treated like filthy, disgusting hormones waiting to happen, dad is treated alternately with scorn/pity, finally to be driven from home. I can remember watching my mom running around with her green NWT, reading some scripture that said "woe to the pregnant woman", crying & saying she was 32 years old & pregnant with yet another sibling. What chaos & dispair mommy dearest wrought by getting involved with the jws instead of getting therapy! Thank you for the poem, it is profound to many of us.

In the end, it's all about CHOICES. You can blame anyone you want, but when does a human being cease being human? Where is the empathy?
where is the love?
I did a reverse df on my mother, who has nothing real to offer but watchtower love. Our child does not need to grow up with religious abuse & intolerence, having a grandmother like I had, constantly spouting watchtower robotspeak. too tied up in meetings to attend & recognize her scholastic & sports achievements. I won't settle for crumbs of "new light" in my life, or for my child.
