  " which gives a somewhat less violent picture than what has been presented for years and years.. is this new light a change in the perception of how armageddon will be brought about or is it just pandering to the ignorant masses so as to not reveal the true belief that they're all doomed to destruction?.

  In the "kool-aid" version, it is made clear that "those who don't listen to Jehoobers teachings" are the "incorrigibly wicked" being referenced.

  So, no, the official members-only Armageddon theory still calls for the destruction of all non Dubs.

  seems this woman is always, and i mean always, absent from topics related to religious conflicts.. again, today, when cultic behavior [ lds raid in texas] is discussed as a hot topic, she's not there.. a few weeks ago, there was the topic of the child that died due to the parents thinking god would heal her.

  sheri was not there.. it's really starting to piss me off.. there have also been ample opportunities for her to speak out about abuse that goes on in jw religion.

  she never takes it.. yesterday she reveals that when she had an opportunity to look at princes credit info, she took it.. i'm about to fire off an email and ask point blank, why she keeps avoiding (by being absent) these topics.. anyone else notice this about her?.

  some guy called in to 1010 cfrb talk radio at about 4:45 today... said he was raised as a jehovah's witness, but it not one any more.

  i wonder if he posts here :-/.

  It actually had nothing to do with witnesses, they were talking about anti-semetism but the caller brought that up.

  CFRB 1010 is just a news talk radio station. I don't listen to it, but the lady that drives me occasionally does so I happened to heard it today. It's Canadian, yeah, Southern Ontario.

  after laylas' : do you think looks are important thread, thought this would be a good follow up.. personally i'm just a regular girl, nothing exception, got good teeth, i do love my hair and don't think i'm ugly, but know that i'm no stunner either .

  i often read comments like this about the bible here:.

  well, the bible is the only source we have for guidance and direction.

  if you read it you will know that such knowledge and wisdom could not have originated with man because more times than none, man acts in opposition to what is written in the bible.. it also foretells the future.

  The current "christian" interpretation of Bible prophecy has nothing to do with any "christian" interpretation before it. Each generation has taken, for example, the book of Revelation, and applied the wild beasts and such to the people of their day. So you're basing your view on 2000 years of disagreements.
