i was wondering who is going to the wisconsin apostafest.
Well my dear squinks...I know I'M GONNA BE THERE!! I'm stuck now for sure!! (just kidding, i think)
I think there should be a nice turn out. Yesterday the hubster and I even purchased two tents from Sears that should come in handy if it does rain. (HadEnuf gets up and does her anti-rain dance...ouch...knees too sore...you'll have to do one for me squinks!!) They are the kind with the sides you can roll up or put down and mosquito netting too. Half price!! That was a big worry...what to do if it rains, with my teeny, tiny house. They are good sized too!! Big relief!!!
But in about 2 weeks people are going to have to rsvp for sure so we can plan the food, etc.
love you my little squinkypooh!!

Happy HAPPY birthday gumby!!! Look's like we're the same age (though I'm alittle older...hahaha! No...that's bad, not good).
Anyway...have a great birthday and thanks for beings such a great poster on this forum!

they claim that the jw's... as of the new organization book ...no longer announce someone is disfellowshipped or disassociated.. .
but rather they announce " they are no longer a jehovah's witness.
anyone that can shed light on if this is true or not?
Whatever it does...it will give the congregation a whole lot of opportunity to increase the amount of gossip/slander about the person "no longer viewed as a JW".

Personally, from being on here the last 4 years...I believe this site tends to sway towards the "anti-JW" side.
I haven't heard too many here encouraging people to join or continue being a JW.

well i am no longer one of jehovah's witnesses.
i had fully intentioned to disassociate myself from the platform today, but i decided that if i wanted a chance to save my marriage that i'd better tell my wife.
she immediately went to to one of the elders.
All I can say is...good for you for doing what your heart told you to do; despite the consequences you knew might happen as a result. After the initial shock and repercussions wear off...it will be a new beginning for you.
Thinking about you...big hug...cathy l.
we had a very interesting weekend to say the least.
my daughter, my neice , youngest son and friend all went to a listen to a band.
i don't know what musical catagory to put the band in but alternative rock.
My sons are IN an alternative rock band LyinEyes...but their appeal is to more of an older crowd; I'd say from upper teens way up to people in their 40's (and 50's). They're more of a band going back to rock roots in the 70's. So far I've only been to one show where there were kids your daughter's age and there was some "body slamming" or whatever you call it going on. I got a charge out of it but kept a safe distance!!
Anyway...when we left the org...my kids were already out of their young teen years and I am sure they would have loved to express themselves as your daughter is doing when they were in jr high. Now they express a lot of x-jw angst through their music. I also encouraged my youngest son to get his ear pierced (but he was 19), took him in and paid for it! I myself have 3 tattoos and feel they are somewhat of an expression of how wonderful it is to be free to be whoever I want to be...not what the JW's wanted me to be (BORING)!
I admire the way you are handling your daughters wish to express herself. You seem to have reached a nice compromise without smothering her need to "fit in" in the group she chooses.

as the foremost person in the bible who let gods word light his roadway, where is jesus in this article?
wts reminders; otherwise you will not be heard and will not enjoy divine favor.
(psalm 119:175,176) some who have wandered away from the christian .
as a protection from spiritual harm as we encounter haughty, fierce, ungodly people in these last days.- 2 Timothy 3:1-5.
How true! And they're right at the KH!!

good morning everyone.. what a beautiful day, new york looks spectacular.. steve.
I don't know what the heck that kls monkey person is talking about. It's cold, dreary and about to rain again in my part of WI.
Guess I'd better pack my stuff and go live with the monkey. Do you think she's been sprayed lately for flea's???

P.S. Oh yes...and good morning even if the weather stinks!
