  in france the point is they are not recoginsed as a religion and so france is trying to make them pay taxes on that account also they are going though courts which apparently allowed. So were is the issue?

  our call tonight will be focused on how the country of france, as well as other european countries are investigating jehovah's witnesses.

  the watchtower organization is experiencing difficulties in these countries for the inhumane treatment and exerting too much control over people's lives.

  This debate forum doesn't ask qualifications only debate thats why I only say I am pro-Jw, Beyond that only my viewpoints are needed on a debate forum.

  Witnesses, Jesus and Jehovah have a right to question me more and I would answer all thoroughly but on here personal privacy is the norm, do I ask for your personal life details? the old chestnut of 'you shouldn't be on here so your viewpoint doesn't count' is just a poor debators resort to a good point you have made that they cannot tackle honestly through debate.

  hypocrisy? 9 times out of ten I am in a defensive position on these forums either bibically or for witnesses or personally when I get accused of being allsorts ad hominen-wise to throw discredit on my viewpoints

  we all love it when people pay attention to us or our opinions.

  but what i am talking about is people who crave and force attention from others.

  not just people who talk a lot, but those that force everyone around them to focus on them and them only.. in one of my classes there is a woman who raises her hand to ask a question, but never really has a question to ask.

  I've always believed that People make their own choices but have to live with the consequences and blaming others for our own choices is just avoidance. But thank you for liking some of my posts. JWN has not changed me much accept given me a greater knowledge of people I think and inspired me more on bible reading.

  i wax nostalgic at times thinking back on a childhood memory, visiting a neighbor man i saw only in my dreams.

  he had a nice furniture/craft workshop, and the smell of freshly hewn oak and sculpted cedars wafted drearily through the sleepy waves of old times.

  A man is told by a wiseman he must cross a long distance in one day to get the ultimate prize and he will be given various ways to travel but he must get to the end to win.

  The man sets off at a run the ground is hot and sticky making him feel like he is crawling he keeps concentrating hard but out of nowhere a car nearly hits him. He jumps out of it's way, then he notices an angry man at the wheel glaring at him nastily with hatred abviously aiming for him moving the car in his direction. He curses the man and runs on waving his fist at him.

  Soon he comes to a lake with a power boat on it he jumps in switches it on and speeds off so fast he smiles grimly to himself hopefully he will make up anytime he has lost and get his reward. He is speeding fast when he sees a man on a sailboat straight in front of him not looking at him, right in his path and he is completely ignored as the man just plows ahead barely missing himm He sweaves to avoid him giving the man a fierce angry look thinking 'What's a blind man doing on the water'.

  Finally he comes to the edge of the water only to find a vast plain but nearby is a bicycle which he quickly grabs and starts peddling he feels this is last leg and can see the sun setting in the distance, nothing will stop him now! suddenly out of nowhere a man in long boots jumps into his path smiling and waving he is obviously a lunatic but the Man grimly ignore the lunatic, uncaring if he hits him or not now with the end so near and time nearly run out.

  Suddenly he sees his goal and there is the wiseman who offered him the ultimate prize smiling gently at him, He leaps off the bike and holds out his hand for the prize but he notices the mans hands are empty. The wise man asks "Did you enjoy your journey?" the man replies "yes accept for 3 idiots that got in my way! one tried to kill me, one was blind and had no right to be travelling and one was a mad fool trying to kill himself!"

  The wiseman chuckle softly "there was no one on that road but you! the men you saw were all yourself travelling on the path, you were the angry man trying to kill, you were the blind man and you were the fool! Your prize is the knowledge that perception is something written by the beholder."

  You like gilead are limiting apostasy deliberately to not include witnesses saying people are apostates to their religion but then christendom throughout the centuries uses apostasy for people that do not conform to trinitarian doctrine of a triune god.

  it simply means withdrawing with regards to your religion putting yourself in opposition to it in origin and apostate is an adjective of someone who does this. You and gilead are trying to make a universal word into one that can only be applied to jews.

  What you are really saying is nothing to do with the word apostasy but instead saying Jehovah's witness aren't God's people therefore you cannot be apostates to them but this is not really applying apostate at all but poisoning there basis for having apostates and so another subject. Jw's would argue trinitarians were the original apostates putting thier triune God above the bible and Jw's are just returning to being followers of YHWH and his son accurately as the first century christians did.

  I just watched your video the implication that apostasy refers only to Jews by you I think is misleading since the use of it to show christians will have to deal with apostasy even though it is only once blows that argument out of the water. As well as a fact that it would be like saying

  John is a liar

  Peter lies but he isn't a liar because he isn't John.

  Apostasy is a term to apply an action like lying is so cannot be limited to one group or person by implication so apostasy can be applied to anyone that apostasises like lying can be applied to anyone that lies.

  Would a definite article prove that Jesus is God?

  from what i've studied of jw's, john 1:1 is interpreted as "and the logos was (a) god".

  therefore, because there is no definite article in john 1:1 for example, one supposedly cannot confirm that jesus is referred to as "the god".

  so my question for the jw is "what if jesus were reffered to with a definite article in the nt"?

  It's okay to say John 1:1 is nature and qualative but it's then the assumption that God is a nature completely? so we as humans are by nature humans but then how can the bible say there can only be One true God if god is just a nature like being human? So making Jesus a god among a race of gods by nature.

  then of course you have the issue of john 1:1 also used to call Jesus the one true God by identity.

  So which does John 1:1 mean.... God by nature or God by identity? one of these is saying WHAT he is the other statement is saying WHO he is. we are mixing qualitive with quantitative.

  As witnesses accept Jesus has divine qualities by nature in fact many things from god are given divine application including man himself who is said to be 'image of God' but that still doesn't mean they are The God in the quantitative term, which the lack of definitive article on the logos means that it isn't applied to mean the logos is identified as The true God unlike the Father which in numerous places is.

  John 20:17 (New International Version)

  17 Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.' "

  basically trinity are trying to get two meanings out of John 1:1 for the price of one by false use of capatalising God to imply identity as well as the qualitive divine, the application of 'a' in English shows it is that he is divine nature and not to be confused with identifying him as the true God who John 1:1 itself clearly states the logos is 'WITH' which itself implies the logos isn't God.
