I have a hard time understanding why JWs do not question the teaching of the WT. Do they find it comforting that they will not suffer in paradise? It seems like many people on JWD who were brought up JW have managed to stay out how do you do this? Do you ever feel you need to go back? I guess I should read Hassons Book for more information.

To soon to hope?
by Wendy_Warden inso yeah--i've been riding the same train of i'm-in-love-with-a-jw for about two years now.
i've said in previous posts (posted a long time ago) that he wanted me to convert.
he never said so out right but his habit of linking our conversations to the wt convinced me that it was important to him.. well, i tried to let everything drop for a long time and didn't really keep in contact.

She seems "normal" enough but I still think I would have a hard time talking about religion with her, it is just not a natural thing for me. I would think if her religion is a part of her everyday life things would not work out for us. What if she is just a part of the religion to please her parents? Would there be any hope for helping her out? If I showed her the CC book could this cause her to run and maybe make things worse. I also know p sychologically for alot of women if their fathers are controling they look for a controlling mate. I do not think Im a very controling personality and would rather have a women who is more assertive.

I dont think I would pursue a relationship with her it sounds to complex. If she still seems interested I might just ask her if she wants to get a coffee or something casual just to pick her brain on a few things.

His moods have got darker and he now denies that he has a problem.
It sounds like your husband suffers from bipolar depression this can cause a personality change. If you live where I do the North East alot of people suffer from SAD Seasonal Affective Disorder he may want to get a sun lamp if his mood is worse in the winter.

I have suffered from depression since I was 15 Im now 34 it can be a long road. You need to find some help for yourself through a doctor or other professional. A good website to look into is http://www.dbsalliance.org Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance they may have a meeting near you which you can go they have alot of information for you.
Wish you the best Zero Zen

I know we both have a crush on each other at least from a work associate that works with her. I just hate to bring up that my only issue with her is her religous beliefs I feel like they will think just hateful to different people. Most of my frineds say they would not date a JW and think its a cult, and the ones that do think it is no big deal and like to invite JW into their home but have the same kind of view on religion that I do. I guess my view on sex is you dont have to be married if you both love each other. I guess in some ways I just feel bad for her, since she is pretty smart and we have some similiar interest but I also feel we are very different it alot of our views. I read that JWS use chaperones on dates is this always the case and we would have no time alone? But if she is dying to get married Im the wrong guy for her!

It seems like the women I meet lately all have some kind of issue that I would have a hard time dealing with drug abuse, depression etc. I also suffer from biploar depression so relationships can be difficult. Im just a lonely guy right now lookin for my mate.

I think my best bet is just to leave it open and what happens happens. Im sure if I asked her her religous views I will not like the answer if she is a fundy. I really hate people like Pat Robertson who think they are talking to god and know what everyone should do. It seems like the JW lifestyle adds a whole level of complexity that normally would not be.
