just wondering why the jws dont use the cross symbol?

i understand they think it is a pagan symbol but the romans were pagan.

the early christians did use the + symbol, the fish and anchor, as symbols for meeting places etc.

what do you think of the psychology conditioning of a cult member?

how is religious addiction, spiritual abuse different from a drug problem?

if the person was dealing with a drug problem eating disorder, ptsd, emotional problem etc.

iam just wondering if jw's believe they are practicing their religion as christians of 2000 years ago.

would the early christians still follow some of the jewish traditions such as passover and other religous holidays?

i have been with my boyfriend for 3 years, we started dating in high school and now i am going to college and he is working.

i am 20 and he is 21, i was raised catholic but my mom and i are too open minded for the church so we left.

here is s story that i can tell i had forgotten about this experience until recently, when i was remembering folks that i once knew who were jws.. we have to go into the waaay-back machine the year was about 1986 or 1987. my wife was/is a jw me i had drifted long before and was just trying to keep a low-profile.. i worked for a company and had been there for about 8 years, when the section i was in was beginning to expand.

they brought in one lady who was working the parts section, and would check in and out parts to the engineers and or technicians as needed.

it looked like this new gal after a while was swamped with work, and they still needed another person to help out.. my wife knew this woman and i had met her too who was a jw.

so yeah--i've been riding the same train of i'm-in-love-with-a-jw for about two years now.

i've said in previous posts (posted a long time ago) that he wanted me to convert.

he never said so out right but his habit of linking our conversations to the wt convinced me that it was important to him.. well, i tried to let everything drop for a long time and didn't really keep in contact.

i left the truth a number of years ago after 20 years in the faith.

jws from what ive read seem to be very sexest they dont let women have a voice in the religion, and my friend said he was talking to a member and he said it is ok to hit and abuse your wife is this true?
