  What woke you up to the WTS?

  i was in service one day and the sister i was working with said," i will start to enjoy life once the new system comes".

  sirens went off in my head.

  basically, she was saying she was miserable but would wait till the new system to have any happiness.

  Did you participate in STREET WITNESSING in your area? What was it like?

  here in southern california, the witnesses still do streetwork.

  i did it since i was a kid.

  i used to spend two hours every saturday morning from 7 to 9 am walking down the street near my house with my brother or sister.

  Although I had some doubts I really started questioning the picking & choosing of select scriptures, especially in Leviticus, tattoos & beards... There was a previous thread about this. Then there was the observance of them, since I usually took care of sound, you could see that everything was so predictable, as if it were rehearsed.

  I soon began researching their beliefs on the web and found Randy's site which led me here. What a mindf*ck it was to go to the "best of" section read all th BS about the religion. Then "poof!" my eyes were wide open. I still can't believe it.

  yeah, i hated "field circus".

  i don't like bothering people on saturday mornings about the latest watchtower & awake magazines and try to convert them from their religon to become a jehovah's witness.

  so, what i did was just wait until the group passes by and fake knocked.

  i bought then got rid of my 'r' movies when i was in because my conscious bothered me after a while.

  then, guess what?

  i bought them again and got rid of them again for the same reason as before.

  i told the elder doing the pre-baptism stuff that i didn't really want to get baptized.. at the ass-embly, i didn't say the baptismal vows.

  just stood there.

  the attendant was mouthing, "say it", to me, or something like that, but i didn't.. when i got to the tank, the first time the dude dunked me without warning.
