it'll be 9 years next month since i joined simon's original forum at jwd.

i'm not the most prolific poster but just wanted to say how much i've valued my time here and how much i appreciate all the hard work that simon and angharad continue to put into this place.

i've learned a lot about myself and made a couple of friends, including some absent ones i miss dearly.. importantly, i want to say thank you to all the hundreds of posters past and present who have taught me so much and shaped me into a much nicer person than i was all those years ago.. love you all .

my friend has been with her boyfriend for almost 4 years, and for 3 of them the sex has been getting less and less.

they are down to around twice a year.

loving someone vs. being in love vs. infatuation....

help me out here...i guess that there are all levels of love esp in a marriage.

with the tiger woods mess the news is there are many reasons people stay in marriages even when there is little or no love.... i have been infatuated before and i freakin love it!!!

!.....and btw...many a long term romance starts with infatuation...in fact i wonder how many people really in love started with it?

Did You Exit the Witnesses Due to Injustices / Difference with Doctrine-Both?

many of us leave due to injustices committed inside the organization.

i did initially.

i had doubts about some doctrines for years - but not until after leaving the witnesses was i free to be able to confirm my suspicions and see that yes, i did have valid reasons to have doubts all those years .

The picking and choosing of scriptures and the injustices done to some members just due to status.. You can't pick and choose your scriptures!! One minute your not bound by some scriptures in Leviticus because of the two commandments Jesus set forth but then you cannot have a tattoo because of Leviticus. "BUT", it also mentions in Leviticus to "NOT" cut your beard. This is one of the main reasons I began digging for shit on the JW's..

Plus, I seen many good people tormented to death just because of their status. It was okay for budda & sistah so and so because he was an elder and his wife was a pioneer and their wrongs were always overlooked"BUT" the good brudda & sistah regular joe who would give you the shirt off their back couldn't do those things because if they did they would be reprimanded in the back room!! You had to be in their clique. Not in the clique, look out!! What assholes!

Just got ahold of "secret elders meetings" notes.

cant say how,but i am in possession of about 10 years worth of elders meetings notes.financial info,personal lists,signed letters etc.disfellowshipping meeting minutes,the works.it is unbelieveable.some of the note are "investigate so and so,she was seen at a movie,talk to sister so and so about her weight,investigate the matter between so and so and so and so etc.

letters from circuit servant visits w/recommendatons.anyone got any ideas?there are even minutes of a meeting in which some of the elders "had words"...all in glorious initialed and signed paper.numbers,names,contributions..what should i do with this "blessing from hohoba?
