Hey Somebody, Thanks for the info. I'm E-mailing that article from the Official JW Website to all the dubs I know. Then I'll ask them which teaching should I believe. This will make them think.

Latest insider info about WT plans
by BATHORY inim not sure if is prudent to post this here.
i have a contact ( relative ) that is very close to a writing department researcher.. he claims that there was a private extraordinary meeting that was had about 6 months ago.
9 of the gb members were present and a handfull of elitists that apparently no-one knows or would recognise.

Those handfull of elitists that were probably the shareholders of the WBTS. As you all know, the governing body are just puppets. It would be interesting to find out who those shareholders are.

Anyone Here Lost Their Inheritance To The WT?
by Englishman ini have.. i hadn't even realised it until i had a conversation with my brother last summer.
our dad was a proffesional man who could command a good income whilst he worked.
trouble is, that he would listen to all the 1975 "end of the system" nonesense and then become motivated to serve where the need was great.

I haven't lost anything yet. However my mom has alzeimers and my 3 JW siblings are taking care of her. ( they dis-owned me ) I expect the estate to be left to the WT. Currently I am gathering Watchtower propaganda and information for a lawsuit that will be filed against them if need be.

Who here is shunned by family?
by Brummie inremember the watchtower that asked "are jws a cult?
" and then listed things that cleared it of the accusations of being such?
cant remember the date.. anyway one of the things it said was that "cults" usually have a lot of ex members testifying against it and the damage it has caused to their family lives.

My family dis-owned me also. Aug 20,1999, that was the day my mom and 3 siblings told me they wanted nothing to do with me. The reality check happens when you have to name others as benneficiaries, health care proxies ect. Too bad, my family has lost a good son and brother. I haven't been the same since. Occasionally they call for some bullshit reason that just stirs up emotions. I sent them a letter stating that if they want me in their life, it has to be either full time or not at all. Haven't heard from them since.

Did your teacher ever....
by Nosferatu injust read this from a 1973 wt:.
"boys and girls may start to play with their private parts during puberty and, not receiving any counsel against this, the first thing they know they are "hooked" on the habit.
and if some know nothing about such self-abuse before entering high school, the chances are they will learn of it from either fellow students or the teachers themselves.".

Do You Think That You'll Ever Heal & Recover?
by minimus inafter reading so many touching personal stories of your lives , do you think that one day you will fully recover from being a jehovah's witness?
do you feel that in time, you will be able to heal?
will you ever be able to trust yourself and others?

I don't know, it's very difficult to heal. I still live in the area where I was a dub and memories are too strong to overcome.

Hey freewillie,
Reading your post was like reading my journal. It's been 7 1/2 yrs since I divorced my wife. I couldn't take it any longer. She loved the attention of other men. She would flirt with them and say things like "they were just friends" ect. ect. Well, I came home from work one day and found her in the closet on the floor crying hysterically. She said she was raped at work ( she worked at a golf course ) Come to find out, she admitted to having sex with her co-worker because she liked him and he understood her. ( I had my suspicions when she didn't want to go to the police to report the crime ) I later found out, the reason why she was crying so hysterically in the closet was because she knew I would not put up with her behavior anymore. I did not need to understand her any longer. She needed to understand ME.
I got tired of all the bullshit. I had no more sympathy left. Her behavior over the years was not acceptable and she has run out of chances to get her act together. Not long after that last stunt, I divorced her. She contact me last june for the first time since our divorce and she is still singing the same tune. She said that she is getting divorced from her current husband and wants to go live with her boyfriend. I guess some people never learn.

To Trust or Not To Trust?
by moreisbetter into trust or not too trust; that is my question.

Hi moreisbetter.
Trust has to be earned. Also there are different degrees of trust. What you say to one person, you may not say to another. Let your Gut be your guide.
